He won't work.. There are 2 things you look for in a bowler. First his Primary bowling skill and than his consistency. He lacks consistency, stamina, and fielding. Concentration isn't going to help him succeed.

I needed to improve my bowling so I have brought in a bowler called Douglas Carson, he's just 17, paid 7k for him.

RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, lively
A defensive player with superb leadership skills and worthless experience.

Yeah, a player with mediocre stamina, mediocre bowling and mediocre consistency would be a million times more useful.

The thing with guys like that one is, you can train them up, but the catch is that long before the player is at a usable level, you will be able to acquire a player better than him, who is more worthy of the training nets, so all those expended resources will have been in vain.

Just flicking on the transfer market now, this guy goes in 90 minutes, an example of a much more realistic prospect. He might eventually go for more than 17k, but players like that turn up so frequently that there is almost always one going in 2 hours, so it doesn't matter that you can't check the site every day. If you can be patient, you will be able to see when a player is being overbid and when he is ripe for the taking.

If you gave that one 2-3 bowling nets, sure it would take all season to get his bowling skill up to respectable, but he doesn't need several more seasons of fitness and fielding training to be playable.

I would advise atleast 2 bowl and 1 field net for him

Really expected more. Seems players of Comp and below skills are worth nothing with those Respectable and above costing huge amounts.

Good for the depth I brought him ages ago though I was just showing that you can get a decent 17 yo for not to much.
