FTP: Transfers

I don't see how you can afford their wages though...

You must be paying like 90k in wages each week? You'd get 60k or so in sponsorship...

He must be getting negative income each week. But APs team must be insanely strong. I'm not going to stand a chance.

Iridium added 1 Minutes and 49 Seconds later...

From the rules:

Debt

If a team goes into debt, they cannot bid for players on the transfer market or invest in the academies until their balance becomes positive again.

When the weekly financial update is performed, if your youth or senior academy investment amounts would cause you to have a negative bank balance, the amounts are adjusted down, starting with the senior investment amount.

For example, lets say you have your senior and youth academy investment amounts set at $20,000 each. The financial update runs and calculates that if these amounts are applied your balance will be -$5,000. The game then adjusts your senior investment amount down to $15,000 for the week

At the moment it is positive.I saved some in back even after transfers.. And would sell some of the unwanted players in next week.. This weeks pull was crap, lets home next week i get a better pull..

By the way, what would happen if i get -ve balance? Would i get bankrupt or something :p

@ Iridium, I'm playing my full strength team today. After that i would get to know my next Match Rating :p .... Result is almost certain, opposition is 65K :laugh

Your balance may be positive but your weekly income most likely isn't.

I was in negative before, had (3000) because of transfer listing fees. Doesn't really make much difference. My senior academy was lowered to 2k but I've pushed it back up again.

^ Hehehe.. you must have edited your post. that wasnt there before. :p

I gotta sell some players... I would be -20K next week... It doesn't matter if it only stops me from bidding. I might get a decent pull in next couple of weeks. that should sort out the situation. An i'm more likely to finish at the top of my league so there would be prize money at the end of the season:p

If i bid on the player i have listed, where does the money goes if i'm the highest bidder of my own player and bidding has finished??

From the rules :p :

Bidding on Your Own Players

Managers are allowed to bid on their own players. We understand that sometimes managers list a player and then decide they want to keep the transfer listed player.

However, some measures have been put in place to discourage the practice of managers attempting to create a phoney 'bidding war' by bidding on their own player to try and drive up the price.

* Managers can bid on their own player, but they can only do so once. If you genuinely want to 'buy back' your player, make sure you bid your maximum bid, as you will have no further bidding opportunities. This mechanism has been put in place to give managers who genuinely mistakenly list a player the opportunity to buy them back.
* If you bid on your own player and end up making the highest bid, the 'number of days in squad' counter is reset to zero. This means that if you immediately relist and sell the player, you will only receive 50% of the transfer proceeds (see the Transfer Settlement section above for further details).

Well normally I'm the rules quoter :p

I suppose AP that you don't really care about your academies and developing a decent youth squad?

Not in this season.. I'm just trying to win the league this season and get a promotion.. Next season i would develop youth.. My youth squad is ████
