Don't listen to Hedger. Fielding takes ages to pop when he's at his age. Train him in power all the way.

What!!! Who are you? You're always the one saying to train fielding at any age :p But I'd be looking for one fielding pop at least but other than that, I'd train power.

Nah I don't train fielding after 26 or so. Prefer to train it in one big go at ages 16 and 20

Yep, reasonable when they turn 20 is a good level, I reckon. Although all of my youth players apart from Bleeker don't have reasonable fielding although I'm training Bollinger on fielding until he pops to reasonable, Mol will be getting a fielding pop after a tech and fitness pop, Young will get fielding once he pops batting, and I'm not sure about the others :p

If I want to keep the player, I go fielding -> average at 16, possibly another pop when 19 depending on how their primaries are doing, and then fielding -> reliable at 20. Or at least, that's what I imagine I'll do, I haven't actually had a decent pull apart from Lindeman snr yet...

Well for me, it's fielding -> Ordinary at 16, average if I got them as ordinary, then make sure they have average fielding by the time they turn 18, and then get them up to reasonable by 20. But yeah, if you go anymore, then you're wasting valuable training sessions to train primaries.

Fielding is horrible though. I'd train him on fielding for the rest of his career. That wage could get a bit annoying as well. I'd say it would be a very nice buy if you were a couple of seasons in but as you are very likely to win without him, there wasn't much point.

In other words, you'll be paying $10,000 a week for a guy who could be doing the same job as a $6,000 wage player in your division (other words, leading your side to victory most games).

I don't think he's too bad as long as he is a successful player rather than someone trying to make it hard work - that's something to care about. You don't actually want too many things to think about. Frankly, I don't care about it.

Got super bored, and couldn't think of anything better than splashing the cash on an area I needed refinements. Got him for 35k! :D

lol that massive gap in his bowling and technique will probably take ages to reduce, and the fact is - he's already aged enough! :p. Not an impressive signing at all tbh, fire/sell him on the spot I would say :p.

Try to go for reliable-reliable-ordinary (primary-technique-fielding) players ageing less than 30 from now.

34 years old. I don't think he realises they start going downhill after 30.

Just look at that endurance... he'll get tired after the training each week. He won't be able to play a game because afterwards he'd be on extremely low fatigue levels

Damn, I just hate this part of the season, the prices are hooked up so badly, the youths in special! Anyway, got him for 38k! Again, the 4k spare ratings lured me to paying such a price.
