Truly Disgraceful Behaviour

That's cos we're too crap to qualify for anything.

We still play away games relatively peacefully in places where the English fans manage to get baton-charged.
For two viewpoints on this one read Tales of the Tartan Army and The Football Factory ;)

I didnt read through all of your first post Tom but heres my opinion.

Drink = riots/violence etc. No one will accept this but so many incidents are kicked off due to drink and its stupid alcohol is just stupid. Bring on the ''oh its ok to have a few pints on a night out or at a party'' no because them nights out turn into violent nights out and same with parties either someone gets knocked up or ***** or something of the sort.

I'm not saying it happens EVERY time people go for drinks but it happens a lot, the whole culture is just messed up.

This is why i dont want the World Cup coming to Australia in 2018. Moronic soccer fans like this. I watched a documantary about the violence in Germany and it immediately put me off the idea of the competition being held downunder.....

PS. Go Motherwell!

Without wanting to sound like Pauline Hanson, the European soccer fans can go back to where they came from. Some of these fans are just absolute morons and all they want to do is throw flares onto the ground and start fights. We don't need that sort of thing, we don't have it in any of our sports and we don't need it starting up.

Again, it's these Greeks and Italians and whatever they happen to be that are causing the problems. Aussie may enjoy getting drunk but we're pretty civil when it comes to sport. Football is fantastic because everyone's too busy watching the games to fight with each other. If this is what soccer fans do then they must not be enjoying the games much, and say what you want but the fact is if the supporters are engrossed in the game they don't start abusing each other and arguing/brawling.

I know that not all soccer fans do this but there seems to be a bloody lot of them. Watch the game and if you lose get over it, blame the refs and complain a lot but don't get physical. The A-League is starting to see stuff like this and it's absolutely disgraceful. Thank goodness we don't see it happen much in AFL or rugby.

I must say I have never felt so ashamed to be classed as a Scot. There were fans boasting that the English poofs could not get them beer fast enough and that they should know of the reputation of Scots for drinking and fighting. All I can say is I can't wait to get out of Scotland as soon as possible as it appears the stigma of the Scot with the beer belly looking for a fight is truly, alive and kicking.

It's not that big a deal.. You leave your country for that I don't think you'll be happy anywhere.

The sad thing is, the next time one of our clubs goes away to Italy again their arse faced police are gonna use this as an excuse to beat seven shades of sugar out of our fans again when they haven't even done anything. Bloody jocks.

Incorrect. Irresponsible drink leads to violence.

Even though I'm English, you can't completely blame the Scots. The English haven't exactly been perfect in away matches. However the Italian police do concern me with the way they react in these sort of situations.

Right, I will chip in here.

Im a Rangers fan, and I was in town on the night of the trouble.

I think you are out of order big time, blaming it all on RANGERS fans, only about 1,000 out of the 100,000 fans that were there got involved...

Also, the main trouble causers were NOT wearing Rangers colours, so I wouldnt class them as Rangers fans, would you??

Most of you were not there, I was, the main reason for the violence was that the big screen miracualsly 'failed' 5 minutes before the game, an attempt from Manchester council to not show the game I think, then the police told the fans to walk 5 minutes to the Velodrome to watch it, but the Velodrome is 30 minutes away at least!!! Then, the police refused to let anyone into the other fan zones meaning at least 15,000 rangers fans cam all this way and didnt get to see the game. Add into this, some police officers that weren't from Manchester (who were drafted in) being asked for directions and them not knowing, along with Celtic fans (undercover) and you have a recipe for Disaster...

STFU if you don't know nothing about it, or you werent there.

Rant over.

Was that aimed at me?

Not just you no, Im aiming it at everyone that associated it with RANGERS fans in full, It wasnt us, it was a few mindless thugs that were not in Rangers colours, trying to tarnish the name of us Gers...

Seen as all through this thread I have been reading how it was all OUR Fault, you all need to take into consideration other factors that were involved....

I was there, I witnessed it, so. I should know...

Rangers have never had trouble in Europe, Until now, so thats pretty good going, oh and the police think they were celtic fans that started the trouble.

Yeah and I was on the train with those Rangers fans in "Rangers colours" and believe me they were p***** out of their minds just looking for a fight. I've been in Glasgow plenty of times when Rangers have been playing and combined between them and Celtic, it is not pretty. Also in that video I posted earlier on, that was a Rangers fan KO'ing another Rangers fan.

Virtually every Rangers fan in town were p***** out of there heads, but No one was looking for a fight, what made you think they were? Because they were drunk?

Right, so One Rangers fan, does that make the other 150,000 that were there (including me) football hooligans? I don't think so.

What train were you on by the way? Where was it heading to/From?

Maybe you want to read my first post ;) The train was on the Glasgow line btw

On Wednesday morning, when I was getting the train into school their were a bunch of Rangers fans on the train (drunk already) shouting how they were going to f****** knife any Catholics and rip their throats out. On the way back on the train this evening, half of the carriages were full of drunken fans looking for a fight. I can honestly say that I have never felt so scared for my safety as I did this afternoon. I can only say it is lucky I am not Catholic as there were a couple of Celtic fans on the train and they got heckled of the train before it was their stop and I expect if they had stayed on for 10 more minutes they would have been knifed.

You need to get a train to school??

lol I got negative rep for this!
