Royal Rumble 2007
A Smackdown! and Raw joint Pay-Per-View

JR: Welcome to WWE's Royal Rumble PPV. I am Jim Ross and I am rejoined by my former partner Jerry "The King" Lawler

JL: Nice to be back with you JR, youre better to work with than I thought you were

JR: Well this event tonight is poised to begin. It should be a Slobber Knocker of a show.

JL: Of course, we have the Rumble match itself which should be thrilling! 30 men enter in total, 2 start in the ring and the remaining 28 arrive at 90 second intervals. Elimination is only by being thrown over the top rope and both feet hitting the floor and entry order is drawn at random

JR: The rumble always delivers King, but also look at both brands headline matches. On Raw you have Kane and The Rock, 2 legends of the business in a last standing match for the WWE Title

JL: That may be good, but its followed by Smackdown! where World Heavyweight Champion Edge puts his gold on the line against Ric Flair. Edge has cheated his way to this position, using dirty tactics and enforcer Umaga, but Umaga cant effect the result tonight, its a Cage match!

JR: And then you have a whole load of other great matches, Christian and Orton, DX and the Hardyz, Benoit and Jericho, Punk and Mysterio... need I go on?

JL: Its pretty clear that this will be unmissable action.

JR: And we start the action with the Intercontinental title match. Ron Killings debuted to challenge Shelton Benjamin for the title as one of Raw's 3 signings and it has been back and forth like a yo-yo, neither having successfully defended the title at any point of this feud. Killings walks into this one as champion. This one is a No-DQ match-up.

JL: They have been putting on great matches JR, I hope this is another!

JL: Its time for ladders JR, ladders!

JR: This cruiserweight contest is bound to be exciting. They started with mutual respect, agreeing to contest the Cruiserweight title, but that all changed as Mysterio beat Punk down after a handshake and the next week assaulted him before their rematch causing it to be cancelled.

JL: This will settle this feud now. The title is raised over the ring and one of these men will go and take it to be champion.

JR: Here comes a real contest between 2 experienced teams. DX and the Hardyz have been around for a long while but they are both still talented. This should be a good match.

JL: Add to that that Raw General Manager, Connor Rawlings, has been added to this match. Will he call it down the middle?

JL: Triple H and HBK look like a bomb just hit and that bomb was the Hardyz!

JR: They cant complain about the refereeing, Connor was calling it straight down the middle.

JL: Im sure they'll find something, we all know HHH is a whiner.

JL: Now for 2 Smackdown! stars who have been at each other from the moment one of them joined WWE! Christian returned to answer Randy Orton's open challenge for the US title and beat him for it. Since then it has been a great back and forth contest.

JR: Orton still has the belt! Orton walks out as champion, defeating an incredible looking Christian!

JL: It was an awesome encounter between 2 talented wrestlers. Orton keeps the belt, but I think Christian will be looking on to even better things now!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

JR: Next match is our only non-title match of the evening between Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. Each of these men have been impressive in the ring and out of it. With 2 of the most talented technical wrestlers in the world, prepare for a thrilling encounter.

JL: Now for Smackdown!'s huge main event for the prestigeous World Heavyweight Title

JR: It sure has a lot of history on it and Im certain that it is what everyone on Smackdown! is aiming to get hold of, and that just makes holding it more dangerous.

JL: Well the challenger tonight is used to that, Ric Flair is now a 16 time World Champion and he faces Edge for what could possibly be his last attempt to claim a 17th World Title.

JR: Edge has disrespected the legend and used every trick in the book, the biggest trick being pulling in the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga, in to help him.

JL: But all that is nullified tonight JR as they go in a Cage match! The winner will have to scale the huge unforgiving walls and climb out to win the match.

JL: This is it JR, Rumble time!

JR: Yes it is the most anticipated match of the year. 2 men start in the ring. 28 more men enter at 90 second intervals. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope and have both feet hit the floor. The winner gets a garuenteed title shot for either the WWE Title or the World Heavyweight title in the Wrestlemania Main Event.

JL: Some huge superstars have won the Rumble in the past, legends like "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart. Winning this match garuentees you a place in history. Its also every man for himself, will we see teams sticking together or forgetting their allegences and attacking one another?

JR: Well it is time to find out our first two entrants.

Kennedy sees a chance to form an alliance and does so, helping Booker to perform a double suplex. They take turns delivering punches to the former WWE champion before whipping him to the ropes. Again Cena escapes the elimination attempt and flies back to drop both of them with a diving shoulder charge.

5th Entrant is Jamie Noble

With Kennedy and Cena in the corners Noble turns his attention to Booker and hits him with a dropkick. He then connects with a running splash and a leg drop before Kennedy recovers to take him with a bulldog and then a suplex. He goes for the elimination but Noble manages to hang on to the ropes and slide back in from the apron. Noble saves Kennedy from a Cena sneak attack by delivering a perfect Enzuigiri. Kennedy picks Cena up and whips him to the rope to deliver a clothesline, knocking him down to the floor.

Kennedy then attacks Noble with a german suplex.

"I spit in the face of people who don't want to be cool" - 6th Entrant is Carlito

Kennedy puts an end to Carlito's rampage though, delviering a DDT. Follows up with an elbow drop. Carlito takes some abuse from Kennedy before recieving a poke to the eye. Well, No DQs I guess. While Carlito is blinded Booker takes Kennedy from behind and lays a beating on him with his foot. Booker applies an arm bar. Kennedy is looking tired now, but powers his wasy out of the submission.

"Break the walls down!" - 7th Entrant is Y2J Chris Jericho

Jericho enters the ring and goes for Booker but he had it scouted and turns it into a chop to the chest (Crowd goes "WOOOO!"). Sidewalk slam to take out Jericho. Booker decides to bring Noble back into the action and gives him a belly to belly suplex. Booker picks him back up and takes him to the ropes where they battle to eliminate each other. Booker appears to have the upper hand when Jericho recovers to send both of them flying to the floor.

Joint 3rd elimination - King Booker and Jamie Noble by Chris Jericho - Booker lasted 3:43mins and Noble lasted 2:13mins

Jericho is fired up now and tries to take both Carlito and Kennedy but they power out and hit a double leg sweep.

8th Entrant is Christian

Christian charges in and takes Carlito and Kennedy back down to the canvas with some big punches before deciding to turn his attention to Jericho, the more obvious threat. They trade punches until Christian gets in with a kick to the gut followed by a neckbreaker. He then slaps an armlock on as Carlito hits a DDT on Kennedy. Carlito then hit a snap suplex before becoming to cocky, turning his back to taunt and being hit with a spear from Kennedy which sends him against the ropes. Jericho is still in Christian's submission and seems in pain. Kennedy bounces off the far ropes and hits a devastating clothesline to knock Carlito out of the ring and almost decapitate him in one go.

5th elimination - Carlito by Ken Kennedy - Carlito lasted 4:02

Christian still has the armlock on Jericho who would have tapped long ago in a regular match, it having been on for well over a minute. He looks in agony. Kennedy comes over and stamps on Christian to force him to break the hold. Kennedy then hits a brainbuster to Christian. During that move Chris Jericho rolls out of the ring under the bottom rope to recieve medical attention.

9th Entrant is William Regal

With Christian down, Kennedy goes on the offensive with Regal, hitting an armdrag and following up with an elbow drop. He then pulls him up for the Death Valley Driver. Kennedy is getting cocky, having lasted over 10 minutes and eliminated 3 superstars. He has definitely has looked good. He now goes after Christian, hitting a gutwrench suplex to the former United States champion. The crowd are hating Kennedy's success. Out of the ring Chris Jericho is being strapped to a stretcher. From what we are hearing he is suffering a level of pain associated with a broken arm. Our best wishes to him. Back in the ring Christian and Regal appear to be making a temporary coalition to take out Kennedy. Double clothesline followed by double flapjack delivered by the duo.

"All I ever wanted!" - 10th Entrant is CM Punk

The straight edge superstar from Smackdown! makes his way to the ring and delivers punches to Regal and Christian to knock them down before flying off the ropes and coming back to bulldog Kennedy. Regal stands up near the ropes and takes a perfect dropkick, sending him right over the ropes and out.

Punk isn't finished with the high risk and heads up again to give elbow drops to Kennedy and Christian who are downed on the mat. Those 3 get a breather while we get another superstar.

"Its time to play the game!" - 11th Entrant is Triple H

The crowd pop like nobodys business as The Game makes his way down to the ring. A lot of big names in already, even more still to come. He enters and takes on CM Punk with right hand after right hand before whipping him to the turnbuckle and kicking him in the stomach. Kennedy and Christian then regain their composure to take out the newcomer with a combination of kicks and punches. Snap Suplex by Kennedy on The Game. Christian hits a running elbow drop on the 10 time world champion. CM Punk has gone up top though and hits both Kennedy and Christian with a flying crossbody, what a move! All 4 men are down in the ring attempting to recover when...

"You think you know me" - World Heavyweight Champion, Edge comes out from the back. As champion he isn't a Rumble participant so the men in the ring are fairly confused to see him. He strolls down past the ring with his gold and takes a seat next to the announcers, explaining to them that he has come to see who his next challenger would be. After that we now get our real new entrant.

12th Entrant is Super Crazy

One of Smackdown's premiere Cruiserweights and Velocity champion heads down to the ring and goes straight at CM Punk who has been a recent challenger for the Cruiserweight title. He swaps punches before sprinting across the ring, jumping to the top tope and coming to hit a beautiful flying crossbody. In the other side of the ring Kennedy and Christian continue to work together to take down HHH with lots of double team moves like the Double Suplex and Double Flapjack before they go for the elimination. With HHH on the ropes they fly in for a double clothesline and HHH attempts an awesome countering double arm drag over the top rope but both men land on the apron and fight back with lefts and rights. Super Crazy has recovered from his flying adventures to come in and dropkick Christian, with CM Punk still down. Kennedy forgets the teamwork and continues on HHH with an arm drag followed by a firemans carry takedown and a half nelson slam, great combintion of moves and HHH joins CM Punk in a corner resting up.

13th Entrant is Johnny Nitro

Former MNM member slides in to a fired up Kennedy, hes been there a long time now, who hits a suplex straight off. Super Crazy allowed Christian too much recovery time and he is now on the offensive with some stiff shots to the face and a backbreaker. HHH and Punk are still down. Kennedy continues his assault and looks like he wants to take his elimination count to 4, whipping Nitro into the ropes on every possible occassion but he is just too fresh still to be put out. Christian gets a sidewalk slam on Super Crazy who has now lost his aerial mobility. Christian now seeks revenge on Kennedy for abandoning him. He goes for the Unprettier... and hits it! Kennedy is down and out! HHH has recovered though to hit a spinebuster on Captain Charisma. Here goes the Pedigree, but Christian reverses into an electric chair drop! He is pumped up now!

14th Entrant is AJ Styles

WWE Tag Champion Styles has come onto the stage with a chair! What havoc will he wreak with it? Well, apparently he will be sitting on it because he ain't going anywhere! Rules say that you have until the next person enters to make it so he is in no hurry. Nitro is calling him down and is blindsided by Christian and shoved over the top rope much to Style's pleasure!

7th Elimination - Johnny Nitro by Christian - Nitro lasted 1:48

Christian is the only man on his feet now with all the others down in the corners. He is taunting to the each one of them to come and get him until CM Punk obliges with a spear! Edge at ringside applauds that move. He now hits a snap suplex and a German Suplex, but keeps the hands locked, and a second, and a third! Triple Germans! Super Crazy is back to his feet now and is looking to fly again, coming off the top with a Missile Dropkick to Punk! He has been deadly with the flying moves tonight. Crazy then goes and gets HHH and hits an Enzuigiri. He is going up for the Moonsault, he flies and HHH dodges! Crazy plants himself into the mat! HHH does his signature pose as our next entrant... enters.

15th Entrant is Christopher Daniels

Now we know why AJ was so casual, his partner is next in. He is in no rush though either as he and his partner walk down to the side of the ring and continue to wait. Nobody in the ring maks the mistake of looking at them this time round. Kennedy is still feeling the effects of the Unprettier on the canvas, what a devastating move. Christian is back on his feet though and goes into a fist fight with The Game. Both men hit big lefts and rights until Christian throws a clothesline in. Punk is up now and goes in and hits an armdrag on Christian, and another, and again! Punk now applies a Crossface Chickenwing to Christian to try and soften him up. Christian is in pain but cant tap! Super Crazy comes in and makes the save by kicking Punk. The countdown for the next entrant has started, so Styles and Daniels dive in the ring together to avoid being eliminated by not entering.

16th Entrant is Bobby Lashley

Lashley makes his way into the ring, and at about the wrong moment too as 6 out of the 8 men in the ring are all up and having a huge brawl around the place! Only Kennedy and Christian are still on the floor as everyone goes wild trying to eliminate whoever is near them. Styles and Daniels almost eliminate CM Punk before going for Super Crazy and sending him over the top rope!

8th Elimination - Super Crazy by AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels - Super Crazy lasted 6:17

Elsewhere Triple H almost has got Lashley out, but settles for hitting the Pedigree! Lashley is layed out! Styles and Daniels are attacking CM Punk, they hit the High-Low attack! Daniels goes up for the lariat and Styles hits a legsweep to take out the Straight Edge Superstar. Styles and Daniels are squaring up with Triple H now. They hit a double DDT on the 10 time champion and now go for their flying combo, BME from Daniels and Frog Splash from Styles! Christian is back up, but gets nailed by a double snap suplex. Now CM Punk is back, but a double arm drag takes him to the mat and followed by a Back Suplex/Flying Clothesline combo. Styles and Daniels are really using the numbers here.

17th Entrant is Chuck Palumbo

Palumbo is nailed by Styles like everyone else has been, and now whats Daniels doing? Its the Angels Wings! Hes hit the Angels Wings move! Now Lashley comes up on them from behind and hits a huge blow to the back of Styles, but Daniels has his back and goes in for the dropkick. They whip him across the ring into the ropes and double team to lift him up and over and out!

9th Elimination - Bobby Lashley by AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels - Lashley lasted 1:58

Styles and Daniels are just dominating everyone at the moment. Some music has just hit, its a bit early for an entrant. Here comes Vince McMahon! Hes signalling for Styles to leave the ring! The chairman has gone in and is trying to eject one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. We are hearing that Styles entered the ring after Daniels did and so is eliminated by entering too late! What a turn around! Styles has now left the ring with McMahon and the two are walking back down the ramp. Now Daniels is isolated and Christian, Punk and Triple H are back on their feet ready to pick him up and throw him out of the ring!

10th Elimination - AJ Styles by non-entry

11th Elimination - Christopher Daniels by Triple H, CM Punk and Christian - Daniels lasted 4:24

18th Entrant is Charlie Haas

Haas enters the ring and is immediately taken down by Christian, Punk and HHH. HHH then goes for Christian with a spinebuster! Punk takes advantage by German Suplexing The Game. Kennedy is finally back on his feet after that Unprettier and a whole 5:03 of recovery time. He hits a suplex on Punk to take him down. Palumbo is back to his feet and the two start brawling around the ring. Elsewhere Haas hits a snap suplex on The Game and goes for the Haas of Pain, but HHH kicks him off. Kennedy and Palumbo are now battling on the far side of the ring near the ropes. Kennedy starts getting an advantage, but Christian runs across to bundle them both out!

Joint 12th Elimination - Ken Kennedy and Chuck Palumbo by Christian - Kennedy lasted 25:21 and Palumbo lasted 2:47

Haas takes on Punk and tries an armdrag, but is reversed into a DDT!

19th Entrant is Paul London

Haas is now hit by a Shining Wizard from CM Punk! That has to hurt. Elsewhere, London has entered and Dropkicks HHH before hitting a huge Headscissors takedown. Punk, Christian and London now square up to each other. Punk hits an enzuigiri on Christian, followed by a running lariat.
