I'm genuinely curious to see this Amazon LOTR series. Will it be a cataclysmic failure or cataclysmically average?

After what happened with The Wheel of Time, completely willing to bet on the former.

So there's going to be a The Boys spin off called 'Varsity' which sounds like it'll be connected to the main story but it's own thing too.

It reminds of Heroes, great first season but the rest is meh (granted heroes had a writer's strike in between seasons 1 and 2).

The first two seasons were great, it's just season 3 I didn't enjoy. So far I'm liking season 4

I just found season 2 onward a bit monotonous and lost interest. Certainly not a horrible show though, just didn't resonate with me anymore.
