Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an amazing show.

For Me, the only let down was the graphics and the editing, but hey! It was 1997 when it officially premiered! The editing couldn't be as good as the current generation we live in.

@zwarrior, You might wanna try Scrubs. I saw a few episodes of Scrubs but never really gained much interest, though the people around Me in my life, and on the internet say it's a really good show.

Well. I went back to see the Ravi Chopra's epic Mahabharat. It aired on TV even before I was born lol. I knew the main plot and stuff about Mahabharata. But, these guys have done a great job to start from the beginning ( way before pandavas and kauravas) of the kingdom of Bharat. I am loving it so far.

That show was/is an EPIC

The details and depth, especially in the later half of the show

Was doing this exercise with a friend where we were trying to list our top 5 favorite TV shows of all time. Proved to be incredibly difficult - because the challenge of keeping it to exactly 5 shows was so difficult. Ultimately ended up splitting it into Drama and Comedy categories and listing 5 each for these ones.

Mine are as follows. Would love to see what TV shows make your list (try to limit it to 5 per category)

Drama
1. Breaking Bad
2. Sherlock
3. House of Cards
4. Game of Thrones
5. True Detective

Comedy
1. The Office (UK)
2. Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia
3. South Park
4. Arrested Development
5. Parks & Recreation / Friends

Reality
  1. America's Got Talent
  2. The X Factor
  3. Masterchef Australia
  4. Britain's Got Talent
  5. American Idol

Comedy
  1. Friends
  2. The Big Bang Theory
  3. How I Met Your Mother
  4. Family Guy
  5. Two and a Half Man

Those are quite predictable comedic shows for any TV-watcher, actually.

Drama

1. Sherlock
2. Game of Thrones
3. Arrow
4. The Flash

Comedy

1. How I met your brother
2. The Big Bang Theory
3. Friends
4. Modern Family

Comedy
1. The Office (UK)
2. Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia
3. South Park
4. Arrested Development
5. Parks & Recreation / Friends

I haven't watched anyone except Friends. :p

You guys need to watch the Office (American version)

It is the only show that makes me LOL regularly. Its absolutely howlarioud

Wow. It's really difficult to narrow it down to only 5. Here is my list-

Drama
1. Prison Break
2. Dexter
3. Newsroom
4. House MD
5. Breaking Bad

Other worth mentioning series are GOT, Sherlock and White Collar. Reason for not including Sherlock is, the episodes are just too less. And White Collar's starting seasons were average but the last two seasons were brilliant. About GOT, what I feel is while watching for the first time, it's really gripping. But, after watching once, I don't feel like watching again. This is how I rate. If I can watch the series again and again, it will be in my top list.

Comedy
1. Friends
2. Modern Family
3. Arrested Development
4. Coupling
5. The Big Bang Theory

Last season of How I Met Your Mother was sh##. It ruined the show for me. Same goes with Two and Half Men. After Charlie Sheen left, the show became less entertaining.
