Unlocked kitbag (PC version)

This USRSTAT.dat file will give you a fully unlocked kitbag. It doesn't contain all the stadiums unlocked and will write over any unlocked stadiums and player records you have created.
It is possible to create an editor which patches your file to unlock the kit but I've not done it - maybe hitterman might have a go.
In the meantime if you're fed up with non-licensed players using default bats download this.

File goes in the following folder:

Documents/My Games/Codemasters/Ashes Cricket 2009 (Windows 7 and Vista)
Documents and Settings/Codemasters/Ashes Cricket 2009 (Windows XP)

silly question, but do you have to delete the [1] at the end of the filename? In otherwords, are we replacing the original urstat.dat file or is this one that we have to load in game?

I'm guessing you extracted it in the same folder so it created a copy. You need the replace the original so make sure it is called USRSTAT.dat.

Any chance you could upload a RAR version? Winzip doesn't seem to like it, and when I get it unRar'd it doesn't seem to work, and is totally the wrong filesize (130 odd KB as opposed to me 2MB files)

A game without challenges to unlock things IMO would get pretty boring after playing it for some time.

Stadium unlocks might actually be very simple; I've not looked at that part of the file.
