1st Match Australia vs India

Toss: Australia

Australia 288 all out 48.3 overs (Symonds 88) (Agarkar 6/42)
India 270 all out 49 overs (Ganguly 82) (Harvey 3/52)

Result: Australia won by 18 runs

Man of the Match: Andrew Symonds

Points: Australia 5, India 1

Great game. The run out of Ganguly proved crucial.

what can I say about Aussies, They are just the BEST

The partnership between Clarke and Symonds was fantastic. As soon as Ponting was out I thought the Aussies were in all sorts of trouble. How old is Clarke? I haven't really seen much of him, but he seems like a great batsman. Terrific knock by Symonds. Agarkar bowled really well. I didn't catch the Indian innings, it sounded like a very exciting match!

Clarke is about 22 or 23. still a youngen compared to most of the other players and has about 10 - 15 years left in him YAY! :)

Australia kept the pressure on, granted, but India blew that -- they should have got home from where they were. And as for Bangar running out his captain who was already halfway down the pitch instead of sacrificing himself...

India have a world-class top six but no one after that -- they need a batting tail.

It will be interesting if Bangar will be playing in the next match?
Ganguly might have something to say about that, and I don't blame him.

Clarke is a champion in the making, he's seams to keep cool under pressure. Hopefully he can keep it up.

Ganguly was pretty ****ed off with Bangar so he will be lucky to get a game i reckon, and yeh Michael Clarke will be a champion

Bangar screwed up big time, but I reckon it was a bad call from Ganguly to run. the ball struck Bangar and he was a bit disoriented when he saw ganguly charging at him. Some of the blame has to go to Ganguly, for his questionable decision to run.

Great game regardless. I love watching these two teams play. I just wish zimbabwe had a slightly stronger team so there was some chance they could win a game or two.

That game was a lot closer than it suggests, the zimbabwians bowled pretty well, but were just too defensive, they didn't try to take the wickets when they got on top and that let Clarke and Symonds control the game.

Can't say much about there batting though, you kow somethings wrong when Williams takes 5.
