Video Game Mafia - Game Over: Maney and Spoobir Victorious

I'm still waiting for Zohaib to reply to my last post so that we can decide on whom to lynch. What are your views on this Mani?

Views on Zohaib being a possible mafia cop?

I did a bit of research into his character and found this:

wikipedia said:
...he is highly loyal and a staunch believer in the ideals his work ultimately protects. He is quickly angered by the casual slaughter of civilians or unarmed military personnel by his enemies...

...Throughout the games, Fisher attempts to uphold what he believes is "right".

Zohaib's character claim is obviously true, just his alignment is in question at the moment. Based on that I can't see him being a dirty cop.

Sorry to ask this if it has been already cleared but how is his character "obviously true"?

Unlynch : Zohaib

I am the most confused as to who to lynch. There are like 3 people. Colin (I am a bit clear on him though), Ollie (trying to get Colin out), Zohaib (might well be what Aditya posted).

He said that Barmyarmy was an anti-hero, which he admitted to being. The only other explanation I can think of is them both being mafia but that's incredibly unlikely.

Okay, so I'm posting my collective views of this game here. I would like to reply to a few posts but I just cbf now so I'll just try to include them in my analysis.

To begin with, I'm confused. I have no certain idea of who is mafia or who is not, at the current moment of time. Almost everyone seem to be playing good games as towns or as mafias, whoever they are. (except Colin, he claims none of these) The final result is that I don't know who to lynch besides Colin, who is a first choice if we don't get any trails to a mafia.

Here's my analysis on all players:

1. Barmyarmy - Has confused me, and everyone, to be honest. It is clear he is making some of the things up, that's because he's retracted back from his statements and has seemed artificial as well. But as Papa Smurf said I'd still go with logic and keep him alive. A question that comes in my mind though is, is what he's claimed (Dante) really a shape shifter as he first claimed?

2. Aditya - Townie vibes, despite the overall rise in his aggressiveness from the previous games. Although others have been suspicious of him for that, it doesn't bother me much. A question to you, Aditya: What do you think of Hedger's and Maney's game so far?

Apart from the general town vibes, what bothers me is that how he is aggressive towards Zohaib, then even after he claims, he's started speculating on that mafia cop thing? A very brilliant seeming way to get rid of the town cop, isn't it?

3. Ollie - Over-aggressive against Colin, but I'd attribute to his playing style. Might be mafia, as well as conniving with Colin, and this being a drama like that between Smurf and Zorax in Pokemon mafia, but unlikely.

4. Themer - Null read on him. Is a new player, has played quite well for that. His game slightly confuses me currently, as he's given both town and anti-town vibes.

5. User2010 - Null read on him as well.

6. Papa Smurf - Not so sure on him; he has given mixed vibes. Whatever alignment he is of, he's playing a very good game there. A question to you, Smurf, the same as the one to Aditya: What do you think of Hedger's and Maney's game so far?

7. Spoobir - Null read on him. More unlikely to be mafia than town or cult though.

8. Chewie - His counter-claim to Bevab suggests to me he is town. He's been very surreptitious with his posts, it seems. Town for me.

9. Zohaib - Our cop, eh? Or mafia's cop? Aditya's confused me there, but I believe he's town.

10. Dr. Pepper - I remember suspicion came upon him for being inactive, even I was, but his reasoning of time zones seems perfectly well to me. After all, I had to read 8 pages as well.

11. Maney2k9 - Most hard to read. Blabbering or leaving hints? Town or mafia or cult? Cannot say.

12. Hedger - Null read on him. Haven't seen him participating much in discussion, but I feel most discussion has taken place when it was quite impossible for him to online.

13. P Squared - Inactive much, but that claim seems plausible to me for now.

14. MaD - Has played bastard. He'll be my first choice for a lynch, if he wasn't already dead.

----------

I'm off for now. Not lynching anyone till tomorrow when I come on again.

I completely understand your suspicion on me on the fact that I've been way too aggressive towards Zohaib but that's how his gameplay has been to be honest. He hasn't done much contribution to the discussion and has seemed suspicious to me. That mafia cop thing is actually very irritating for a townie cop but that's just a question I raised and his answer to it really isn't impressive. Is it impressive according to you?

Hedger's play has been quiet and as you say most of the discussion has taken place while he has been offline so that's actually acceptable but then he hasn't really contributed in the time when he has been online. More activity is required from him for sure.

Maney has really not done anything suspicious simply because hardly any of his posts have been contributing to the discussion. He has been active so that's good but he hasn't really contributed in a great way.

I refute that claim! Only a page or two ago I was trying to generate discussion!

It's just my style of play anyway chaps; if I knew more about the characters I'd be a bit more substantive, but I don't so I'm not. Get me?

Stating a minor point then asking the others to discuss doesn't contribute to the discussion.

Discuss.

Seeing as there isn't a clear target anymore, I'm going for who I'm most suspicious of.

Lynch: Themer

I can see why you might think I've been slightly suspicious but the Protagonist thing was just me being genuinely a bit dopey and forgetting. I am a protagonist. Other people had posted saying that there were protagonists and antagonists by that point anyway so even if I was cult, as you suspect, why would I draw attention to myself like that when I already knew what the other alignments were? If anything I'd go out of my way to prove I knew them by specifically saying I was a protagnonist. (like I've just been forced to :p) If I was cult I'd of posted as little as little as possible or posted irrelevant points which didn't put myself under suspicion; I wouldn't have been for the majority of the thread (until the explosion after I left for work this morning) one of the biggest posters.

Now I think that the mafia would be aware of protagonists as it would probably say something like "you win when all the protagonists are dead" in their PM so that leads me to believe that Themer is individually aligned and therefore cult.

If I was cult why would I have drawn attention to the fact that I think there's some sort cult in the game? Why would drawing attenting to what would be my own non-town role be beneficial to me? Logically me stating that I believe there was cult activity would only serve to undermine my position as it encourages people to search for the cultists.

I think there's definitely a cult recuitment going on there. Two incedences in the write up have indicated someone trying to make people join them.

That's my piece for now. I can see why I may have given off ulterior vibes but your suspicion is misplaced.

Oh, and unlych Barmy. Still highly suspicious of him though as I'm not fully sure as to what his role is? Can he kill when he shape shifts? If he can he is most definitely a threat but I for now I'll unlynch till there's been further infomation comes to light.

My understanding of the situation was that you had made an accidental slip up by joining Barmyarmy in questioning it. I think that you were trying to stay under the radar a bit by following Barmyarmy. Your general play is what led me to be initially suspicious of you. You seem to be sheeping a lot (is that a word lol?) as if you're trying not to draw attention to yourself, like a cultist would do.

I'm going to keep my lynch on you for the time-being as I think you're giving off the most scummy vibes.
