Tharanga is really making England look much too good here. He had better score an unbelievable hundred.

i dont really mind his batting at the moment, he and Jayawardene have made steady progress and their run rate is going at 5+ an over. with Silva, Dilshan and Arnold still to come i belive that Sri Lanka can still put up a score thats expected of them.

Yes! Big wicket, and of course its Freddie that fires! Tharanga should really have gone on to get a big score, but never mind! A couple of wickets now and we're into the likes of Vaas, and while they can still bat, they would be less of a threat in the last 10 overs. Regular wickets are key here to keep the run rate down.

Poor effort from Tharanga. It would be a terrible shame if that cost them a huge score.

Maharoof isnt playing btw, if they can ge to Vaas quickly than england have a good chance of vining this one.

Obviously, any team that takes 4 quick wickets late in the innings gives themselves a good chance of winning.

Hit from Bell! Nice to get Dilshan who's always a danger, early on. Sri Lanka bat quite a way down, but these wickets are so vital as it limits how many risks they can take. It's been a really good bowling performance from England today.

yes hopefully, 200 just up and if they only make 230 odd then that is a very good effort from our bowlers.

This is poor cricket of those Sri Lankan batsmen out there. They are in the final overs and they didn't even try to hit the ball. And now de Silva is out. :
