WC2007: Super 8

Another good win for the Aussies, great fightback first to restrict the English and then a good partnership between Clarke and Ponting.

Saj's first over after drinks changed the tempo. He completely released the pressure.

Brilliant effort on that catch there by KP. I think it should have been given out because he held it for such a long time before crossing the rope, that too he threw the ball.
Wouldn't have changed the outcome but a loss of 6 wickets looks better than 7.

Problem is he wasn't stable and in the rules you have to have complete control of both the ball and your body.

Don't know why Vaughan bowled Saj, should have tried Bopara.

I agree. Why wasn't Ravi tried. He got the wicket of Hussey in his first over (i might be wrong) and hasn't bowled since. Mahmood was poor today. He bowled both sides of the wicket and released all the pressure created by Fred and Collie. He was expensive and completely ineffective. I was silently singing his praises until this match. And that slower can be read from a mile away.

Whether it's a promising thing or not, everytime England lose we can pinpoint what went wrong. If we play well we win, unfortunately that's about as likely as Mick Lewis wearing an Australian shirt in a world cup final.

Maybe he'll wear while sitting in the stands :D

Meh, it's not such a big deal today. Our remaining games are against the teams around us, so in theory, if we win all of them, we should be in the semis.

We've also got to face the number 1 ranked team in the world. And just because Bangladesh beat them doesn't mean we will

My point is that it's still in our hands, or at least should be. We don't need to rely on one team beating another just yet. Let's just hope we get a turner against South Africa.

Let's follow the example set by Australia and go after Shaun Pollock
