i think bangladesh winning and england losing has given the windies a good shot at making it into the semi's if they can beat s.africa

I really don't know where people are getting this from. Apart from in past and recent instances (well, in recent instances, many teams have been more competitive), NZ haven't done anything at all in this tournament to suggest they're playing brilliant cricket. They haven't had to. England, Kenya, Canada, West Indies and Bangladesh. Of course, now there's tonight's blockbuster against Ireland. Their hardest match of the tournament was the warm up against Sri Lanka.genghis_khan said:NZ look like the only team that could challenge us from here on in

They're not the number one side in the world now. Australia are officially after SA's loss to Bangladesh.Will_NA said:We've also got to face the number 1 ranked team in the world. And just because Bangladesh beat them doesn't mean we will

Disappointed with yesterdays result. The fact is that after being 160-2, players like Collingwood and Flintoff didn't come to the party, we should have been looking for at least 275, and instead we could only manage a poor 247. Well played KP and Bell, can't fault them one bit, but others just didn't perform.
No early wickets with the new ball which was crucial and a missed run out of Ponting.
It's a tall ask to go through, but even though we aren't playing well, I still think we have a chance of going through.
