I believe in the admin cp there is a stats bit, is there any chance this shows the amount of visitors to certain areas of the forum, if so id be intruiged to see what the results are :)

Ok, those who have said they'd help so far are,

GN
Wil (Duded64)
Matty West (Can Spell his nickname)
Myself

I think if anyone else wants to help PM me or just post here :) Its going to be a trial run, we will see how it turns out wether we carry on or not

After reading all four pages...I am still confused. When I review the stories I do it in the following order.

1. Open Submissions Thread
2. Allow about 10 days for submission
3. Check thread info provided for each story and make sure its meets minimum requirements
4. Verify and check for false info
5. Go through the stories
6. Maximum importance is given to updates made in the previous month
7. Give each story a rating (which I do not reveal)
8. Top six make the final list

well if you go by posts it is the 2nd highest (games stories and thread..) behind the cricket chat forum

M_Vaughan, we are talking about reviewing the stories. Like having a article wrote up with some ideas from the people i listed, im going to give it a trial run :) for the next winner of SOTM.

Do you now understand?

I'd like to see how high it is if you were to divide the number of posts by the number of people who have posted in there.

yeah that would be intersting, would that be down to you mods to do that???

Having read all the pages of this thread, I still find it unnecessary to have this. Really, if somebody wants to read about a story then why not read the story? Even one 1000 posts long can be skim read, just reading updates. Isnt that difficult.

yes but with this review team we could simplify it and make it a convienient place to read what is happening

So you can avoid reading the story?

All this seems to be doing is giving a way to know what is going on in a story without reading the story

yep but i mean, if you have been on holiday for 1 week, look at Suren's story, a couple of updates a day, 4 or 5 a day, 7 days on holiday which is at least about 30 updates as well as reading people's comments, that is a long time. The story team could review this into one post containing the main details, things like top scorers, key events etc

It's also going to lower the views of certain stories. For example; "Member X's story isn't very good" is going to turn people away from Member X's story which is unfair on Member X who works hard on his story.

The story review team could give links to matches and certain, stand-out, updates. The people can also read through every other update that isn't mentioned, if they so wish.

Matt, do you really think that people would be stupid enough to put someone's story isn't very good? I'm sure the AI review team don't do that. The review team would suggest ways to the person in which they could imporve their story. No story on here is rubbish.
