Agree about the fitness levels displayed by your players even if its a friendly. Interesting to see you invest largely on future talent, and spending not too much on a single player, aka the Arsene Wenger approach. But your current squad seems to be doing well, couple that with the not so large budget you have, it might be the smart move longterm. Christopher Samba can deliver the goods as early as this season.

Looking at the fixtures, obviously the games against United and Liverpool are tough ones but both are home games so you might just be able to pick up some points from those games as well. Bolton away is going to be tough I feel. (Maybe its because I always drop points against them)

Sorry guys, I've been away for a couple of days! Got back half an hour ago as I stayed at my Nan's for a bit. The bad news is, my save file went corrupt again It keeps happening to me ever since I left Coventry in my other story The curse of the resignation!

I was planning on starting again, but then it would take me ages to catch up with Jaz, so what do you suggest?

The other alternative is to let Jaz carry this thread on as his own West Ham story, and I start another one, however the file will probably go corrupt again. My Dad says it might be something to do with the game database, so he said start a new game after uninstalling and reinstalling and if it happens again I'll clean up my hard drive, and if it happens again I'll give up! Its so f***ing annoying though as you spend ages doing a story only for technology to let you down!!!!!! So I'll do the above, and I'll start a new story, don't know who with yet though. I have uninstalled the game already, and I'm reinstalling now.

I am doing one as England, but it is in the same save file as the West Ham one. To avoid using FM08, I think I'll do a PES story. Not PES2008 though, cos its crap. PES6 is great, and mine is fully patched, including most of the transfers that have happened this summer (eg Zambrotta to AC Milan, Giovani to Spurs, Modric to Spurs, Bosingwa to Chelsea...) and I have the kits (07-08 mind), stadiums, balls ...... and I can post screenies and stuff, and the file won't go corrupt.

Sorry I'm not going to continue this. Instead I will create another story with a different idea. Most likely using Football Manager 2008.
