1st Test of the Digicel Home series.

Forecast: A Bright Sunny day, the Pitch is good to bat on.

Toss: Sri Lanka won the toss and Decided to Bat first.

Sri Lanka Team: M Jayawardan (Captain), K Sangakkara (Vice Captain), M Vandort, T Samaraweer, C Silva, P Jayawardan, C Vaas, N Kulaskara, M M'itharam, S de Silva.

Sri Lanka Had Began with a Flying start.
A Good Partner ship between K Sangakkara and Vandort of 112 run.

West Indies was Struggle, until Bravo got the frist break, as he got rid of Sangakkara for 39.

Sri Lanka con't you lose wickets after a good start.
M Vandort LBW by S Benn who got his first International wicket for 82

T Samaraweer C & B by Taylor for 20.
As Sri Lanka are struggles now as the score move on to 3/184

Jayawardene and Silva put up a good partnership of 58, but it didn't last as Jayawardene was LBW by Sammy for 56.

and than another 50 runs partnership between Silva and Dilshan, as Silva was caught and bowled by Bravo. for 65.

Just before stump. P Jayawardene was bowled by Bravo for 12.

Sri Lanka had made a good Total of 319/6
at Stump.
Dilshan NOT OUT on 34 and Vaas NOT OUT on 2

For the West Indies Bowler.
D Bravo bowled very well as he went for 58 and token 3 wickets, in his 16 overs.

Debutant S Benn perform ok as he went for 76 taken up 1 wicket, from his 24 overs.

D Sammy went for 80 and token 1 wicket in his 23 overs.

J Taylor went for 57 and token 1 wicket in his 19.

and the Only bowler who was sucessful was D Powell went for 45 off his 14overs.

Day 2​

West Indies had an early take out.
As Sri Lanka loss there 4 wickets in quick session.
Only making an additional Scroe of 13 to there 319.

Sri Lanka all out for 332.

1 hour and 15 remain for Lunch as West Indies come out to bat.

West Indies was Struggles as they start off.
C Gayle and D Smith an ok partnership going until D Smith was Clean bowled by De Silva for 11.


Wicket started to tumble after that As.
S Chanderpaul got LBW by Kulaskara for 10
and Bravo follow right behind him with 1 he was caught by Jayawardene off the bowling of Murli.

So at Lunch West Were in Trouble at 62/ 3

with C Gayle and Mortan at the crease.

After a shaky start Moran 23 and
C Gayle who just reach his 50 after 65 balls.
West Indies was now regaining their position.
at 102/3 after been one time 3/50

But Murli strike again getting rid of C Gayle as he goes for 56. we was caught in the slips.
And the new Boy S Chattergoon comes at the crease. he will be playing his first Test match.

Both Survive, as they move West Indies to 164/4 at tea.
With Morton on 43 and Chattergoon on 39.

after Tea the last session of the day.
Chattergoon rise his bat, his first 50 in test Cricket.

Morton also rise his bat as he score his 9th Test 50.

Both now will be looking to get that big 100.

West Indies reache there 2nd milestone.
As they reach 200 runs.
R Morton 57 and Chettergoon 63.

Murli strikes again.
as Morton edge the ball into first slips hand.
he goes for 59.
West Indies are now 209/5

Ramdin comes to bat.
Kulaskara get this man as Ramdin caught behind for 13.
West Indies are now 230/6.

Sammy came out and didn't last as he goes for 3, lbw by Kulaskara.

S Ben now comes to the crease.
Both Debutant is at the crease.
S Chattergoon on 81 while S Ben now comes to join him as West Indies are 246/7.

Sri Lanka struggle in this session as they loss 4 quick wickets.
162/5 with 212 run lead.
With Vandort, Jayawane, Samaraweer and Silva. West Indies would be looking to rap up the rest, under 250 runs lead.

So at Stump on day 3
Sri Lanka are 246/6 with a big lead of 296.
Sri Lanka would be looking to score at least 400 on the 4th day.
and West Indies would be looking to get rid of those 4 wicket as quickly as possible.

DAY 4: Sri Lanka Still untop despite losing to quick wicket.
West Indies Remove vaas and Kulasekara.
But a Partnership of 70 from Jayawardene and Murli.
Push a big lead for Sri Lanka as they went to lunch.

Sri Lanka are 351/8, and they are 401 runs lead.
Jayawardene on 121 and Murli on 22.

West Indies quickly got rid of Jayawardene and Murli after lunch.
But a Total of 458 and with 1 day and half to go, it can still be any one games.

West Indies Must not lose a wicket. and go into tea with out losing a wicket and Score at least 50 runs. in this 53 mins.

West Indies Had a good start.
at Tea, they were above the require target.
They score 67 runs without losing a wicket.

The Evening session.
the main session in any test match, this session is important for both batsman and bowlers.
Losing wickets in this session, could prove hard for West Indies in the mourning of the 5th and final day.

While Sri Lanka without getting a wicket in this evening session could also prove hard for them in the last session.

Sri Lanka strike as they remove Devon smith run out for 28.

Pressure is on the West Indies, hoping not to loss any wickets in this session.

At Tea
everything went well for the West Indies.
A perfect session for them.
As the Pressure now turns to Sri Lanka.

This could be it. West Indies could pull off this victory.

Right after Lunch. Sri Lanka stirkes.
