I think the film probably introduced a lot of people to the legend if they hadn't heard of him before. Funnily enough my dad is currently playing his daughter's new album at the moment.

Listening through Green Day's albums, I cannot believe a band has done so many good songs...obviously that's completely opinionated but the fact that after what? 23 years they still have the ability to get America excited about their "return," after 4 years out of the business as Green Day.
