Maybe there is a deeper meaning to the song title. Civil war usually refers to infighting and war within a country, but in this case, they took it to mean the world. Like the whole Earth, we are all one, we are one the same side, we are all humans, and any war within us is a 'Civil war' as it involves members of the same Global Community.
