We do have some local Bands who are pretty decent. However since UAE is such a small country most bands just skip right by it.
Plus there is always Stereotype Middle East country tag to deal with

Well, we had Coldplay...in Abu Dhabi last year. During my exams or tests.
Absolutely love Coldplay, so I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't go. Maroon 5 came to Dubai too. Generally, lots of hip-hop/pop artists come here...or have come so far...I can't remember who exactly. But, Shakira did a concert in Abu Dhabi as well.
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
Loved that album Demon Days. It's one of the few that I own. And, love Gorillaz generally.

Um they were on sale a few months ago weren't they? I would've presumed they came out the same time as the NZ tickets so... I missed out on them though :crying

The shows in November were sold out within an hour of going on sale. That was some time back.. I missed it by minutes.
Due to the heavy demand, they have a prequel to that show, and that's on 18th Sept in Sydney and 15th in Melbourne. Ticket pre-sales start tomorrow at noon. I've got an exam at 1. Not sure where my priorities should be.. Heart says Metallica.. Mind kicks the heart's ass and says - Go fail in the exam first, then fail trying to get the tickets
