What have you achieved today?

Eat healthy.

South Indian food on the whole isn't healthy. Try and eat more wholemeal, maybe wholemeal chapatis and brown rice as opposed to white rice and avoid ghee at all costs. A lot of vegetables will do good as well.

That is an incorrect perception of South Indian foods. Any food is unhealthy if you are going to stick with junk foods. Majority of people have weight problems either due to
1) eat and do no activities ( majority from IT sector )
2) eat junk foods & oily/cheesy foods
3) eat in inappropriate timings( say for instance, 10 pm dinner ). Plus, Heavy lunch is preferable than having dinner.

No matter what you eat, if you eat at correct time( 8am breakfast, 12 noon lunch & 8pm dinner atleast ), & burn calories with some activities( walking at least, sleep immediately after food is dangerous )at end of the day - there should be no problem with weight.

Yes. I did loose 15 lbs in 2 months without gym!

Mate in no world is white flour better than wholemeal, and ghee will kill you make no doubt about that, it's the definition of artery clogging and will put on the pounds like crazy. South Indian food prepared traditionally is bad for you, make no mistake.

Losing weight is mostly to do with diet, though exercise is also vital.

Eating at proper timings can help, it is not the only way to lose weight though. I had weight problems for a few years, I definitely ate at all sorts of bad times (how does dinner at 1 or 2 am sound?) though and still took it off.

Thats like a very tough job :D

Any valuble tips? Dont say GYM, i dont have time for that!

I am using Orbitrek weight losing machine for 25 days.Actually my brother (IT guy like you) purchased it a year ago and laughed at him because at that time i was 10 kg lesser than what i am now.but after seeing his results made me  and start trying it definitely worth for money you give.

I managed to eat a Cadbury's creme egg without it looking sexual.

:lol:lol:lol

I usually just wolf those things. :D

Moved beyond 60kg squats for the first time today, so next week will be using the 20kg plates. :) I'm talking weight lifting at the gym in case anyone's deeply confused. ;)

Here's the exercise I'm referring to:

Blimey that is some restaurant you work in! Excellent Avatar by the way. In Holland they don't really "honour" the 11th of the 11th. In Belgium of course it is much more part of the history. Holland was largely spared during the First World War. Belgium, where I am these days, was of course one great mass of trenches. Have visited a number of the sites. Unbelievable what happened at these places.

Mmmm. While diet alone can lose you the weight, unless you're doing some weight training as well, you'll just end up with a smaller (and probably weaker) version of yourself. You don't really have to spend hours in the gym, you know. ;) For example, my routine of squats, bench, Bent Over Row, Overhead Press, Stiff Legged Deadlift, Bicep Curls and Calf Raises can be done in around an hour - less if the gym isn't busy and I don't have to wait ages for the squat rack.

60 Kg is nice, especially feeling of it during our remaining part of the day after squat is one of the satisfied one you can every get in exercise though it bit of pain. I always preferred doing squat on Saturdays. :p Maximum have tried is, 5+10+20(35 Kg plates ) on each side i.e. 70 in total. Wow, miss those days and am completely lost in touch for a year now.

I lost 30 KG in three months all thanks to Football

My weight's only 47 KG's, :p

BTW, I've achieved a pen from a teacher of mine, who taught me maths when I was in class 6.:)
