I have never even been on a plane yet. Any tips for first time travellers?
The food is horrible so I recommend buying your own in the Airport.

If you can please avoid hand luggage as it can make your travelling so much harder because they keep checking it and it can be a hassle putting in the plane on top of your seat.

Arrive at least 2 hours early.

Make sure all your luggage are correct weight as if your luggage is overweight then they make you open it in front of everyone.

Don't have a massive meal before flight.

These are the rules I follow before flying :)

A little something for those from India/ UK/ SEA. How many of you flew the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines? It was started by the billionaire Vijay Mallya, who also owned the RCB team originally alongside a Formula 1 team.

A little snippet here from what he, his airline and his air hostesses used to look like. I flew them domestically a couple of times and internationally twice from BOM- SIN. They were active in the SEA market as well as the UK-India sector. Flashy as their owner, the business class was out of this world with services seemingly kept at higher altitudes- rather unheard of levels, in India atleast. -Apparently, he was known for serving Lobster Thermidor on board as well as for giving out Salvatorre Ferragamo scarves as gifts to the business class passengers.

Check this fellow out- Sam Chui. As a fellow #AvGeek, I find him quite good and has lots of info for people travelling. For first time travelers though, might have to go back a few pages on his channel

Alternatively, if you know Hindi, try this guy- very simple, lucid and down to earth sorta fella who takes pains to explain each and everything to his viewers.

Which website/portal do you guys use to book flights? Is Google Flights good?
