Sachin Tendulkar & Rahul Dravid. I think Navjot Singh Sidhu was one of the BEST EVER player of Spinning bowling.

And what the hell is wrong with some people here. Polls show Nick Kruger as a better player than Michael Clarke, Shiv Chanderpaul, Kevin Pietersen & AB De Villiers. Wow, is that man overrated or what ! :laugh

Sreesanth. When he has one of his estrogen bursts.

Yeah, but he cried AFTER the match was over. And add Ponting & Mitchell Johnson to the list. Johnson is the Most Likely Contender for breaking down on the field, I believe. Someone fly his Mum around with him :crying

Where's Rahul Dravid?? For Me The LIst IS Like THis
Australia: Michael Clarke
Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene
India: Rahul Dravid
New Zealand: Daniel Vettori
West Indies: S Chanderpaul
England: A Strauss :facepalm
South Africa:de Villers

Rather than naming random people, you might want to watch them play spin first.

No, unfortunately he's correct about Vettori.

How about Ross?

Taylor's not bad. But he refuses to use his feet and instead shuffles across the crease which causes him to shut of a few options. Vettori was so far ahead of the other batsmen in Sri Lanka when playing the spinners so I'd just give him the vote as New Zealand's best player of spin.

I reckon "using your feet" is over rated. The sweep shot is the new "hip".

Perhaps. But what Taylor does with the early shuffle makes it almost impossible to use his feet, so it kind of makes it easier to bowl to him. Vettori uses the crease really well and isn't afraid to come down the track and hit the spinner back over his head.

Where's Rahul Dravid??

see my first comment...i pointed Dravid as best player of sipn for IND...but seems to be other people like tendulkar i put his name on the list:)

hacker added 3 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...

Ricky Ponting is one of the best

Agreed...and i remember his back to back double tons..that was a amazing:)

But in the semi final they didn't hv any clue abt spin bowling mate:D

One bad match that was for India. A bouncy wicket which opened up at night.
But that definitely does not make them bad players of spin.

I'd name 3 players whom I rate ahead of the rest in terms of their ability to play spin - Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Andy Flower.

It's hard to pick one, but if you want me to do so I'll go with Tendulkar.
