27 is still young for a spinner, could play 8-10 more years at that age. It's like being 22 as a fast bowler.

Shakib is the only guy who really looks promising. The fact that he is guaranteed to play every game when fit for years and years will help him also, there aren't any other young spinners out there you can say that about.

You forgot to include the daylight between Murali/Warne and Kumble :laugh

Kumble was seriously overrated as a bowler. He had 600+ test wickets and could`ve got more but for his slump towards the end of his career. Also, he hardly played a lot of tests against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh unlike Murali. He was India`s biggest matchwinner other than Tendulkar/Dravid. Also, not to forget some of his brilliant spells overseas since the Ganguly/Wright era began. He was far more successful in Australia in 2003 and 2008 than Murali.

A seriously underrated cricketer who was a tad unlucky to be playing in the same era as Warne and Murali.

Well, the last prodigy of Qadir was Warne, so I wouldn't be shocked if Usman became one of the best spinners in the world. From what I have heard, he certainly has the potential.
