Well here's something I read in the paper back in 2004.
On the 29th October, 2029 the world will come close to colliding with a giant meteor. This could possibly be the end of the world as we know it.
Scientists are tracking the meteor which is 100 light years away and its on target to hit, but it may miss at the last moment they aren't sure yet.
(Just to keep us thinking!)
I have always thought that our world and the whole universe and everything else could possibly be inside another large, living thing. Except of course we can't see it because we are inside this living thing.
Take for example a beach. All the grains of sand on the beach make up all the stars in the universe. All the material in or universe makes up just ONE nucleoid of the gigantic enormous thing. It makes you feel really really small now hey?
It would be like all the blood cells in our body are the stars and we are the big living thing. But then question this...
What is BEYOND the big living thing?
