Now that you've said that, I wonder why no one is opting to set all attributes at 100?

Would it have been better to have a cap on maximum number of points to allocate. Maximum is 500, but maybe only 300 can be distributed amongst the categories for example. This would involve more strategy by only giving high values to categories that will suit your attack (bowlers that you still need to bid for, making the bidding process more interesting?)

Or as I don't know what impact pitch conditions have on this game, maybe it makes little difference what values you set?

Guys , zimrahil makes absolute sense. Pitch conditions capped at 300. Kindly update ... Thanks Dr. Phil

Can we do it after the auction, then? We'll have a better idea about our bowling attack when we actually have one :p

Great suggestion. I was thinking along the lines of 100 points to be distributed among the 5 pitch types.

wouldn't that result in too many flat pitches and too many draws?

Well, it depends on how you want the pitch to be. If you want them to be like Australia, put 70-80 for bounce/pacy. If you want them to be turners, do the same for spin and allocate the rest to the other types.

but with 100 points you cannot have 70-80 for bounce and 70-80 for pacey?

This has also led me to another idea. How about the PCPL Management decide the pitch types for each venue. We have 5 teams and 5 pitch types. Each venue can be assigned one pitch type.

For ex:
XX will have spin friendly pitch
Saints will have bouncy pitch
Sky Hawks to have pacy pitch

and so on.....

This would make the squad selection more interesting and will also give chance to other players in the team. For ex: @SweetCaroline needn't play on Saints' ground whereas she is an absolute must on XX's ground.[DOUBLEPOST=1503579185][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ok, I meant 70-80 for one pitch type (either pace or bounce) and the remaining 20-30 to be distributed among the renaming 4.

I don't think it is a better idea.[DOUBLEPOST=1503579320][/DOUBLEPOST]My suggestion would be to put like 10 types of pitches and teams have to select from that. And also make a limit that 1 type of pitch can only be selected max. 2 times.

maybe, not sure about the fairness on being told what your home ground pitch type will be without any input of the owners though?

Oh and @SweetCaroline will be playing most of our games as main spinner. Warne can play on any pitch type and Caz is just as good :p It's me as second spinner that will be missing out playing on seamer friendly pitches :D
