PS3: WINNER of 1st UCC League - CHAMAN (Manager, Team Dublin Devil)

@RIZZYX Manager checked with Morne Morkel and he prefers to stay with his team

I am going to give him a tough time now at KKR and Birmingham Bears :mad:mad:mad

On a serious note though Morne Morkel is hands down the best bowler I have bowled with in game so far, not had much of a go with Steyn and Jhonson to compare but the control i have over him is just brilliant. I think he has a economy rate of around 4 and strike rate of 6 for my T10 games as Birmingham Bears. (and I have played many games with them)

@RIZZYX i agree with you. I have personally never bowled him but faced him while playing against you.

@RIZZYX Johnson is my star player. But everyone has a price. He doesn't go cheap. Unfortunately you don't have any bowlers near his quality.

Johnson goes in a bundle with three of Munaf, Bell, Karthik, or Samaraweera. In exchange come ABD, KP, Bravo, and your favourite, Anwar.

Question-1): Who you guys think picked the best possible team/which is the best team after Draft?
Ans: Dhaka Demons

Question-2): Which Team has the most lethal bowling attack?
Ans: Kabul & London

Question-3): Which Team has the Best Batting Firepower?
Ans: Delhi & Lahore

Question-4): Who in your view is the most unlucky player not to be drafted?
Ans: Marlon Samuels, Shakib Al Hasan, Clint Mckay

I will have pull out of that.

If you are not looking for a fast bowler in return for Jhonson then, ABD for Jhonson is in my eyes a fair enough swap.

Inresting choices.

The only reason Samules did not get drafted is because he was in the All Rounders draft, had he been in the batsman he would have been picked up.

I am going to answer the questions taking Lahore out of the picture, otherwise i might end up saying Lahore for most of them lol.

Question-1): Who you guys think picked the best possible team/which is the best team after Draft?
Ans: Kabul

Question-2): Which Team has the most lethal bowling attack?
Ans: Delhi

Question-3): Which Team has the Best Batting Firepower?
Ans: T20: Kingston Fireworks ODI: London/Delhi

Question-4): Who in your view is the most unlucky player not to be drafted?
Ans: Wayne Parnell

Question-1): Who you guys think picked the best possible team/which is the best team after Draft?
Ans: London/arjwiz. Most depth. Philander at 10. Good mix of right and left. Star players as well as others to consolidate. Terrific bowling with Johnson, Philander, A Morkel, Mendis, Vettori and Yuvraj & Ganguly. I think Delhi also has a fantastic team.

Question-2): Which Team has the most lethal bowling attack?
Ans: London/arjwiz. I would have picked Delhi had they drafted a better spinner. Chawla is a poor bowler (I know, he is in my Ranji team). This means they have 4 great fast bowlers and Oram/Gayle/Raina/Ryder to complete the 5th slot.

Question-3): Which Team has the Best Batting Firepower?
Ans: Kingston/valerian140. Valerian always picks a strong team. You can't get more explosive than Jayasuriya, Kohli, Afridi, Ross Taylor, C Anderson, Uthappa, D Smith. The best T20 batting lineup ever assembled.

Question-4): Who in your view is the most unlucky player not to be drafted?
Ans: All the legends are obviously unfortunate. Hayden, Youhana, Inzi. Besides them, Ojha is better than half the spinners picked (Rehman, Mishra, Doherty, McCullum, Chawla). His left-handed spin has worked well for me to curb an attacking opponent.

I also think @bradthelad's team is very lacking in top quality, which is good for the rest of us, since brad is such a good player himself.

Come on arj..should have left out London when making your choices.

With regards to your bowling.

I actually think it lacks depth rather than having it, first you only have 1 genuine fast bowler all be it a great one in Jhonson.

Your other genuine pace option is Philander, a medium fast bowler with pace of below 85mph at best. (Not sure about in game)

Then you have your all rounder in Albie Morkel, who has a max pace of around 82-83mph. So your attack lacks the pace some of the other sides have. Interesting that you pointed out Oram being a weak 5th option for Delhi when Oram and Albie Morkel are about on par. So if Delhi have Oram/Gayle/Raina to fill in the 5th bowling slot, then London are about the same with A Morkel/Ganguly/Yuvraj.

After that you are heavily reliant on your spinners. So if you come across someone who is good against spin then you will struggle. I think you will end up dropping Mendis for Munaf Patel. to tackle this problem.

With the batting, yes it has depth that it goes all the way down to 10 with Philander, but it still lacks the hitting power needed for T20, the batting line is great for ODI though.

(Welcome the critical analysis of my side too if anyone wants to do so lol)

I agree with Albie Morkel being a good but not fantastic bowler, but Philander is fantastic. I think he's a fast bowler in the game and he's taken a 10 wicket haul for me in my last Ranji match. I'm also surprised you rate Albie and Oram on par, I think Albie is better, if only by a small margin. I genuinely think London has a very good team, but if I have to ignore London, then I will go for Delhi due to their all round ability and their great top order.

Surprised that Philander is a fast bowler in game, especially when lads like Mitchel Starc, Umar Gul, Mohammed Irfan, Umesh Yadav are all not fast bowlers.

Perhaps he's not, I'm not sure. He bowls about as fast as Pollard has been for me. But I think Malinga is faster.

Woww already having great discussion and expert analysis. Comeon other managers fill up the form and make it a more heated debate.....

Question-1): Who you guys think picked the best possible team/which is the best team after Draft?
Ans: Kingston Fireworks (Most Balanced Side)

Question-2): Which Team has the most lethal bowling attack?
Ans: Delhi Dynamites (Looks good and have variety with D. Steyn / P. Siddle / J. Anderson / J. Kallis & J. Oram, only Spin Bowling looks weak, but they have Sachin/Gayle & Raina to fill up the 6th Bowler option)

Question-3): Which Team has the Best Batting Firepower?
Ans: T20: Delhi Dynamites (S. Tendulkar/C. Gayle/J. Kallis / S. Raina (Are you kidding man, this batting firepower is way too much than any other team)

Question-4): Who in your view is the most unlucky player not to be drafted?
Ans: Shakib-Ul Hasan, Ravichandran Ashwin & Marlon Samuels

Ok just bear in mind, I can withdraw my offer at any time. :yes

The Management spoke with Dale Steyn this morning regarding his possible transfer to Lahore. He said he is Not Interested, and moreover he is determined to WIN the UCC League for Delhi Dynamites in its inaugural season . He is enjoying the cult following he is getting in Delhi and also the lavish hospitality been extended by Delhi Team Management. He is now training the Three J's (James, Jack & Jacob) and Siddle, so that they can decimate their opponents and win it for the Fan of Delhi Dynamites. In case, he cannot win it for his team this season, he will make himself available for Transfer in the next season.

:D:D:D

Team Update : There is little uncomfortable in team due to small spat between Glen Maxwell and Kieron Pollard in Change room earlier this morning. Both are going to have word with Management team at GMT 7:00 AM...There is possible rumor that either pollord or maxwell is looking to put them in transfer window.
