Won't let me play ODI

Just turned on my ps4, fancied playing an ODI between England vs India, after I have set teams up and click to start game in goes off and brings me to a screen where it says to report, two times it has happened. Anybody else experienced this issue, please let me know.

I'm having issues playing any game mode aside from Career. Any other mode won't start and will immediately crash the game to dashboard. I will probably uninstall the game, reinstall before I downloaded any teams and then see if that allows me to play it.

Out of curiosity did you guys...
1. Create your own custom matches or tried to start/play out of the box Odi/match?
2. Where did you get the game from (i.e. Aus psn store?) and what's the game's version number?

I downloaded the game from North American psn store (version 1.0.1.0.753 IIRC) and have exclusively played out of the box casual matches with 0 crashes. Could it be a specific version number/region which is susceptible to crashes? Or maybe it's a specific custom format in case you are using it.

I'm from the UK m8 and bought the game from a local video game shop called GAME, I tried to play a normal ODI but twice it went off on me,when I went to start the game and then it just took me to a screen where you can report the which I did.

Bought the game physically from a store in Australia. I've tried both custom and out of the box. With custom the game crashes before it begins (after the lineup screen) whereas with out of the box the game crashes during the 5th over onward.

My experience has generally been much better. Other than the gameplay issues which I've mentioned in the DBC Batting and Bugs thread I haven't faced stability/crash issues. I did get framerate issues in some cases, especially when I used custom stadiums but overall the game has been stable. But yeah I never even tried starting the career mode or trying to create custom matches. Maybe that could be one of the reasons for crash, i.e. when you start career mode or custom matches it corrupts some data in the game which causes crashes in the other modes as well.

If I were you, I would try to uninstall the game and delete all the saved game & other DBC 17 related data and try to install the game. And this time don't create or set up career mode or a custom match and see if you get the same experience. Coz if you don't at the very least you will be able to enjoy casual matches, especially so if you enjoy bowling.

Yeah I have been meaning to test that - but honestly my interest in doing so is wavering. I'm hoping to get word from BA by tomorrow about a patch to fix the issues without me having to delete everything. It's kinda shitty that the workaround to get a game to work is to remove all data from it and stick to very specific parameters. Hopefully there is some sort of word by tomorrow!!
