Well, I have a goal. I exercise quite often, not everyday but whenever I get the chance. I have a healthy vegetarian diet.

My workout is usually a nice 3 mile jog, 4 on days i'm really bored. Five times a year I go out and run 10 miles, and usually end up hurling in the end. But there is that feeling of accomplishment!

I want to step it up a knotch, become really physically fit. I'm quite fast, but the only thing I suck at is anything that requires upper body strength. Because I am a vegetarian, I lack in protein. I can only do about 15 pushups at a time, and only one pull up :p.

I want to get better, maybe 40 push ups and 20 pull ups. I also want a six pack, I had one but it went away after a lazy week :p.

So I need your help. What are your Workout Regimes? What would you suggest for me to accomplish these goals?

Lately, and by lately i mean for the last month, i've been getting up at 6.15AM.

I'm out of the house at 6.45AM and up at the local school at 6.55AM. Then i do an hour of running/jogging, go home, usually to grab a shower and go to college, or just come home :p

I'm eating rather healthly, only about 1,500 calories a day, and i'm doing about 100 press-ups a day, and about 60 crunches.

I go to the Gym three times a week, on a Monday i do heavy wieghts, short sharpe bursts. On a Wednesday i do medium sized wieghts, some quick bursts, some slow. On a Friday i do light wieghts in quick bursts.

This all goes to strengthening me up for the season. Its been something i've tried to stick to each pre-season BUT in the last two injuries have prevented this.

Happily i'm fully fit :D And i'm weirdly enjoying getting up early!

I go to the gym about 3-5 times a week. Mainly weights with some running on the treadmill every now and again. Mainly trying to build muscle but.

Ive been about 5 times now.

Just get a hard punching bag and go nuts. I went from a skinny wriggler to a boxer in about 2 weeks.

Everyone make sure you take a knife when you go jogging, you run faster with a knife.

Let me see if some one can help me on this. I am about 20-25 pounds overweight and need to lose that weight before I become obese.

My main problem is my motivation levels. One day I suddenly get this inspirational thinking and feel that I should start going to the gym today. I also start dreaming of going to the gym every day and dream myself reaching goals that I set for myself. Then I go to the gym for 2 (or may 3-4 days) and then I am back to where I was - I dont go again to the gym until I have another day where that inspirational thinking hits me (that I have to lose weight)

What do you guys suggest that I should do to keep up my motivation levels and make myself go to the gym often? I take my favorite music with me while going to the gym, but it hasnt kept me from staying there often (I listen to music very frequently in my car too). I used to do treadmill before, but nowdays I do pedalling coz I feel its less stressful and burns more calories (approx. 360 in 30 mins).

sai,
When you wake up in the morning, do 60 sit ups ( or however many you can do after you start feeling it. For me, I start feeling it at around 30, do at least 60.)
stretch your body out, makes you calmer and fresher.

If you want to lose weight, aerobic excersizes are what you need. Mainly running, cycling does NOT burn more calories then a good run.
watch your diet, I read that you eat borritos everyday in some other thread... These are easily 900+ calories each. With that coke and other non filling but fatty foods add up.

Sorry for mistakes, typed on an iPod touch.

Ha, it sounds strange, but very interesting. It's fun to imagine me running with a knife. I'll try it sometime, I hope they won't hold me up for it ;)
