I believe that the key to handling it would be a ban people for life from international cricket for undoubted involvement in match fixing and for a heavy fine as well.

That's pretty much the rule.

The reason why this is happenign is clear and simple.

The West Indies is not a country.Infact,it is a group of islands knotted together and made up of 11 different countries.To have a scandal in 11 countries at the same time would be pretty easy for the bookies seeingas there is a lack of security.
Its also very diff for the cops to check such activites in 11 nations at the same time.

CNN-IBN is the new Zee News. Dilip Sardesai, a fine cricketer, will not be proud to have a son like Rajdeep, who despite taking the moral high ground many a times, has become another TRP seeker.

That's why I only watch DD News and maybe NDTV, and I ignore the rest of the 20 odd crap channels.
