I fancy Ponting breaking the highest run aggregate this year and/or the most hundreds.

I reckon if someone like Kemp, Afridi, Kp etc... is at the crease against a minnow on a small ground on a decent pitch going into the last 10-15 overs with wickets in hand and a good total on the board the sixes in an innings record could get broken.

In accordance to your theory I also think the highest individual score could be broke as well.

If someone like Gayle or Gilchrist gets a flyer in the powerplay overs and bats through until the last 10, it's certainly possible.

it's unlikely that many records will be broken at one time, maybe 1 or 2 significant ones. I can't see the highest individual score being met as I don't believe the pitches will be flat enough, though the grounds will be small.

That's why we both said, IF the pitch is a good one, on a small ground, against a minnow, with wickets in hand :p

well you know, some people just can't read too well

Ponting could come out of nowhere to take the Most Centuries title. Could also get Most runs in the tournament. Most number of 6s in an inns probably will be broken.

I think Tendulkar, Jayasuriya, Ponting, Lara, Inzy, and Ganguly have something big in store, as this may be their last world cups...well maybe not Ponting.

Well there is going to be a flat tracker somewhere just as long as the minnows aren't playing each other there we could see some fireworks.
