We have too many all-rounders who aren't good at batting or bowling

That's all most T20 players really are.
In real life they're players who can't handle test cricket, e.g. Afridi.

We could've had someone like Andrew Symonds who can actually bat or Shaun Tait/Dirk Nannes though.

The five T20 players that first come to my head are:

David Warner
Kieron Pollard
Shahid Afridi
Yusuf Pathan
and Shaun Tait

Then probably Dirk Nannes and David Hussey.

The only difference in opinion between me and bcvs, is Lasith Malinga and Shaun Tait.
I guess Shaun Tait has retired from FC cricket though, so it would be rather weird that he makes a come back.

In terms of test specialists I think of:

Simon Katich
Tim McIntosh
Alastair Cook

Not really any other names come to me TBH.
