I agree with Hedger. Maybe you should mix up the rounds so we have one round batsmen, one round bowlers, so on and so forth.

I would suggest such an order for the auction. Looks good.

Round 1: Opening batsmen

Round 10: Pace bowlers

Round 9: Spin bowlers

Round 4: Middle order batsmen

Round 8: All rounders

Round 2: Opening and top order batsmen

Round 12: Pace bowlers

Round 7: All rounders

Round 3: Top order batsmen

Round 11: Pace bowlers

Round 5: Middle order batsmen

Round 6: All rounders

Every team would first like to secure an opening batsman, a middle order batsman, a spinner, a pace bowler and then an all-rounder.

Much simpler with a pattern TBH.

I don't mind that. And a difference of 4 makes it easy to remember the rounds.

This time it's even worse though as my dad decides we're going down to my grandma's for the week that the auction will be on.
