World Premier League? T30 Championship Season 8

It will work fine, basically, i say to them, you can have my Round '?' pick, and so instead of me picking in that round, that person gets two picks.

Also, the player in question only has two people bidding in them, and at this stage i don't think we will see any new bidders.

That's the stupidist thing I've ever heard. Ingram isn't worth 1M even. Just remember that Watto is a good bowler as well, so it's probably worth it more than 1M for Ingram.

I agree, 1 million for Ingram is just stupid, I don't quite understand all the random love for Ingram. The same goes for Rosseuw in the IPL thread. I don't quite understand it.

Then again, I bid 600k for Southee, and he's arguably not worth that much.

Hmm my side looks like it's gonna be
McCullum
Strauss
Kallis
ul-Haq
Samaraweera
domestic batsman/batting all-rounder
Yardy
Southee
Murali
Tait
McKay/bowling all-rounder

I'm going to flag saving up for the last two rounds, as there are still some people with over five million left just for them.

I was planning to go for Pollard, but realistically I'm not going to get him, and I'll end up doing a Hedger (:p) having to waste all my money on a lesser player.

haha, at least that won't be the case this time ;)

Well I have $1,960,000 left for the final 2 rounds now that all my purchases have been confirmed so I can probably go for a better player than what I was going to aim for. Probably a reasonable all-rounder.

And I could never have Pollard in my side, no matter how well he is rated. I don't like him at all, and he's only good in T20s, which is the reason I don't like him so I wasn't planning on going for him.

And my side will now pretty much be:

1. Shaun Marsh
2. Adrian Barath/Domestic Batsman
3. Jonathan Trott
4. AB de Villiers*+
5. Callum Ferguson
6. Batting All-Rounder
7. Luke Wright/Better All-Rounder
8. Nathan Hauritz
9. James Anderson
10. Ryan Sidebottom
11. Shane Bond

Round eight (bowling ARs) looks like a bit of a joke round, not one of the players in it are world class material. :lol

My side kinda looks looks horrible. Assuming all bids go my way:

1. Simon Katich
2. Craig Kieswetter+
3. Ian Bell
4. Marlon Samuels
5. Eoin Morgan
6.
7. Daniel Vettori
8. Dale Steyn
9. Mohammad Amir
10. Ben Hilfenhaus
11.

I've left out Ojha for now. Bowling looks pretty good, batting no so much.

A strong wicket-keeper like Sangakkara forms the backbone of the side - Shipperd

Word's one of the all-times best wicket-keeper for any format of the game, Kumar Sangakkara is now with the Rapid Reds. The Reds who were keen to get him finally got Sangakkara for $2.6 mn. It really isn't too much considering the fact how good a batsman and a keeper he is.

Greg Shipperd, the coach of the Rapid Reds said, "This is a big purchase for us. Every team needs to have a wicket-keeper who can bat exceptionally well and can keep the wickets too, and that is what Sangakkara is. He is a king of a player who can shift his gears anytime, anywhere. We all know about his success in the shorter as well as the longer formats of the game. If we lose some early wickets, he is one guy who can play steadily, the role of a sheet anchor and when needed to chase a huge total, he can bat aggressively, I think I should say that he can bat very aggressively. The quality of such a keeper is un-matched and he surely brings a lot to our side. As I said earlier, every team must have a strong keeper as a keeper is the one who plays almost every match, just like the captain. A wicketkeeper like Sangakkara forms the backbone of the side. We were earlier confused between Sangakkara and Gilchrist, but the Sehwag-Trescothick combo has been tested several times and we all know how successful it has been."
