Worst Cricket Injuries

I remember watching Nicky Boje twisting his ankle in a game while fielding. It was atrocious to see. I also remember watching Steve Waugh and Gillespie colliding in Sri Lanka.

Alex Tudor facing Lee at WACA was bad, not the worst though. Waugh/Gillespie in 99 was bad, as was Jones in 02. Lawson at the WACA in 88 vs WI, jaw broken. Oh and Hookes of course in 1977 vs Andy Roberts, that was truly sickening stuff. Rick McCosker too in the Centenary Test, what a famous sight walking back out to bat with a huge bandage on his head, courageous bugger. Brett Lee hitting that Kenyan guy in the world cup, that was really nasty, i felt sick seeing that, Lee was just too quick, gee that was hard to watch.

Some of the MENTAL balls that were bowled during the abandoned WI v Eng test in 1998 were just ridiculous too, 30 mins or whatever it was for that match was crazy. Injuries galore. Worst pitch Ive ever seen, bar none. Stewart, Hussain, butcher, all copped very harsh balls.

Warne too was in agony at the MCG in 02/03 when he dislocated his shoulder.

Here's on odd one, Michael Bevan copping an unopened can of beer in the face at Lords on the balcony during the presentations in 2001, that was unbelievable. Gower and the players just ran for cover. They caught the idiot too.

KP breaking ribs?

^^ Never heard about it!!

Wikipedia----

He is best known for facing South African fast bowler Allan Donald without a helmet at the 1996 World Cup and being hit by a fierce bouncer. Donald recorded in his autobiography that he feared initially that he had killed him. Despite the blow, Zarawani still continued to refuse the offer of a helmet but only lasted six more balls before he was dismissed and taken straight to hospital.[2]

It was so funny, he just got up and kept batting, hit with full force to the head. quite amazing stuff. He was so awful, useless batsmen, pretty funny stuff to see.

Useless Ego :p

Gary Kirsten, with out a doubt

McLOVIN added 3 Minutes and 9 Seconds later...

Wait no, the Indian player who died in Bangladesh domestic. He refused to wear helmet in silly point/silly mid on or w/e and got hit on the head. The ball bounced back to the keeper who was well behind the stumps

Some umpire last year or so died with a hit with cricket ball

A bad one was Brendon Julian breaking Jayasuriya's arm in a one day match in Perth, 98/99, cracking delivery that rose alarmingly off a length, Sanath was jumping everywhere. Looked really bad on tv.

I was at the ground when Greg Todd done this

It looked sickening seeing his knee/leg twist in, but the worst part of it all was the screaming, he was in so much pain.
gotta love the comments.
