I see someone like Umaga winning it this year.

Jeff Hardy wins at the Rumble to take Orton's title. Umaga wins rumble, setting up Hardy vs. Umaga for WM.

Slightly doubtful looking at it. But who knows.

Triple H will main event 'mania in my view, but obviously he won't go the Royal Rumble way.

I dont see Orton losing the title at the Rumble because titles hardly change hands at the Rumble. Title changes take place mostly at WM. Also script writers will ensure Hardy loses the Intercontinental title first before becoming the next WWE champion.

Not neccesarily. I find your theory on title changes at the rumble and only at WM very floored.

Lets have a look at when the last title changes were.

WWE Championship October 7, 2007
WWE Intercontinental Championship September 3, 2007
WWE Women's Championship October 7, 2007
World Tag Team Championship December 10, 2007
SmackDown! World Heavyweight Championship December 16, 2007
WWE United States Championship May 20, 2007
WWE Tag Team Championship November 16, 2007
ECW Championship September 4, 2007

Wait a minute? It appears that not one of those titles were won at WM.

what i meant was there is a title change at WM irrespective of whether how long ago was the previous title change. If you observe the title matches over the years at WM almost always a new champion is crowned and almost always Heels lose the title and Faces win it. there have been very few instances where the champion has defended the title successfully at WM(except for Eddie Guerrero in 2004).
Now if Jeff Hardy(Face) were to win the title at the Rumble he would have to face a Heel at WM and since Heels almost never win at WM and the fact that title changes HAVE to take place at WM i presume that Hardy will not be winning at the Rumble. In that case a Face would win the 30 man Rumble match and face Orton at WM and win the title. i guess thats my theory.

yeh well the opposite brand that doesnt win the rumble will have an el;imination chamber at no way out to decide the wrestlemania main event so i reckon batista to win rumble and take on orton at wrestlemania what do you think?

i guess it would be someone from RAW that'll win the Rumble match since the last two Rumble matches were won by SD! superstars or it could be someone from ECW (probably Lashley). And an elimination chamber match is unlikely since that type of match is mainly for a title match involving 6 superstars. And it would be too great a match for just deciding a number 1 contender for WM. i think it could be Mr Kennedy, Lashley or Umaga or maybe Kane which would be great!

Errm...Lashley isn't on ECW. He's still out injured but made the jump to RAW just before he was injured.

I will say Cena will make surprise comeback at WM and set up title clash with Orton after that. HHH will not be in title contention for long time as he was given a fairly long title reign in his haydays.

I see the TNA guys are starting to jump ship. Seems they can't get any time with TNA's policy of signing anyone who appeared in the WWE and pushing them instead.

there is an elimination chamber the no way out poster features jeff hardy on the front and an elimination chamber in the back. This will determine the wrestlemania match for one of the titles but with hardy on the front possibly RAW?

Indeed MUFC. Harris and Ron Killings appeared to have signed and they have also signed a multi-time world champion who remains unnamed.

I have found out who the multi-time champion is...

The January 14th edition of the Newsletter confirms that former multi-time WWE Champion Paul Wight - The Big Show - has either signed with the company or has agreed to a deal, and will be starting full-time very soon.

Big Show is down to 440 lbs after leaving pro wrestling to rest, and pursue a possible career in boxing, which obviously included boxing training that got him in quite a good shape. Dave Meltzer also mentions in the Observer that a part of his boxing deal was that Hulk Hogan was to be his "front man" acting like a manager in wrestling for him by doing promos and appearances. This was also the main reason many boxing promoters were actually interested in Big Show and paying him so much money to learn the sport. These plans, however, fell apart at some point, and Show realized that at his age, boxing might not be the right direction to go anyway. There have also been no recent updates or even talks of Hogan doing his own wrestling tour - a very discussed topic of the past. Hence with nothing on the horizon, Big Show is back with WWE.

Wight coming back would be great if he's back in shape. During his WCW run he was in top shape and was brilliant to be honest.
