Wrestling thread

I think he may go for the ECW Champ to be honest.

Anyone going to these Wrestlemainia revenge tours in april?

My dads been handed 2 free tickets so i decided to go as its at the Liverpool Arena- its the raw one i havnt watched wrestling anyway should be a good night. Hopefully i wont have too bad a Head ache as im at the Premier league darts the night before.

Tbh, I want MVP to win the Money in the Bank. I love him, his mic-skills are quite good and he reminds me of a heel Chris Jericho.

Long live MVP.................................

................and Hornswoggle! :D

I can see an MVP/Jericho feud at one stage, though one may have to cross over to another show for it to happen unless they make it a cross brand thing. Just the way they interacted on Smackdown! and the way Jericho mocked MVP.

I give Kennedy a good chance of winning the match at Wrestlemania as well, though CM Punk could be an outsider. Though I have heard him being criticised for being a bit sloppy lately.

Do any of you think that Jeff Hardy will ever get out of being a mid carder after he got himself into trouble with the drugs? Vince has practically said he will be a mid carder for life. Would this mean a possible jump to TNA if they offered him a chance to main event?

Rumour is that Samoa Joe might be given the TNA World Heavyweight Title at Lockdown, thus the reason TNA has recently removed Karen Angle from the action to help focus on the big title match at Lockdown inside the cage.

There is also a rumour that Sting will make his return to TNA at Lockdown...

In case anyone watched TNA it seems that Ricky Banderas (Judas Mesias) has been removed from TNA and might be brought back in the future for a one shot type deal, like what the WWE has done for a few released stars. Abyss has been out of action to take some time off from wrestling. James Mitchell too has been taking some time off as well.

TNA will be returning to Fox8 on April 5th, according to an advertisement on Fox8 this evening. imPACt will be airing Saturday nights at 10pm according to the ad.

Though looking at the TV book I cannot see it listed so I am guessing it must have just recently come to a contract signing.

Wrestlemania is close now. Looking forward to it.

Another former wrestler has passed away...

Source: Lordsofpain.net
Chase Tatum, who wrestled in WCW in 1998 & 1999, was found dead in his home in Buckhead, Georgia on Sunday, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

His father Roy Tatum told the newspaper that his son died of an accidental drug overdose ten days after undergoing back surgery to repair a degenerative disc. His father said his son had been battling a painkiller addiction and had plans to enter a rehabilitation facility in Miami soon. "He was in the process of getting his life back together," Tatum said. "He was confident that he was going to turn things around, to live a normal life without those painkillers."

A friend discovered Tatum's body at around 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at his Buckhead, Georgia home. Tatum was unresponsive and could not be revived by emergency medical technicians.

At 6-feet, 3-inches tall and 265 pounds, Tatum won the Mr. Georgia bodybuilding competition when he was 19 years old. He was a personal trainer, and a client encouraged him to give professional wrestling a shot. He went to the WCW Power Plant and made his debut in the promotion in 1998, losing to Scott Steiner on an episode of WCW Thunder on March 6.

Tatum worked approximately 10 televised matches during his entire WCW tenure. He primarily worked in an enhancement role on WCW Saturday Night. He lost to the rising Bill Goldberg on the March 14, 1998 edition of WCW Saturday Night. He also lost to Curt Hennig, Van Hammer, Scott Norton and current SmackDown wrestler Dave Taylor over the course of two years. His lone singles win in WCW came against The Gambler in January 1999. He worked two episodes of WCW Monday Nitro during the summer of '99; losing to WCW Television Champion Rick Steiner in a squash match on July 26, and in his final appearance in WCW on August 23, he was powerbombed by Sid Vicious during his match with Mikey Whipwreck, which ended in a no contest. Tatum was briefly a member of the short-lived No Limit Soldiers faction which included Rey Mysterio and Konnan. In September 1999, WCW purged the roster and released a slew of wrestlers including Tatum. That marked the end of his career in professional wrestling.

His father said he suffered his back injury during his time in WCW and took painkillers to get by for a number of years because he did not have health insurance to pay for the surgery to correct the problem.

Tatum had been acting in recent years and appeared in the 2007 film Who's Your Caddy?. He also worked as a road manager and personal assistant for hip hop duo Outkast.

Another name to be added to the former wrestlers dying young, it's a shame for him and his family he was unable to turn things around before tragedy struck.

May he rest in peace.

Cool, so many old stars on that roster. Never get to watch it but. Should be good.

I am surprised at the low key promotion of TNA imPACT by Fox8 with the first imPACT airing next week. I guess they will pick up the promotion during the week.

So whos going to be ordering WM on Pay Per View tomorrow?

And do you reckon the superstars in the MITB match would get hell nervous beforehand (more then usual)?

I'm defo buying WM. Wrestling's superbowl. Plus, the Rock's gonna be there!

Yeah, The Rock makes Wrestlemania.

MVP should win Money in The Bank, he needs to be pushed to a Main Eventer ffs. **** that Kennedy showpony off, hes a loser. HHH better win, if Cena wins then the WWE is a disgrace. 'Taker should win in a crap match.

Give MVP a proper finisher and stop him from leaving matches.

Kennedy is boring as is everyone else especially Orton.

HH will win. If he doesn't, I'll storm out of the room. Taker will win as well.

Oh and RIC FLAIR WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO vs THE SHOOOWWWSTOPPPPPPAAA

Flair should lose in a classic match. Im hoping he goes all out and actually does some higher risk moves...He can't chop for 15 mins can he?

Might as well give him the People's Elbow or the Rock Bottom. He is The Rock v2.

Have him show his ass again as that's about as entertaining as he is nowadays.

Exactly what I was thinking. He's the new Rock.
