USA : WWE Chairman Vince McMahon today released a statement saying that 2011 had been the worst year in the history of WWE in terms of profit, in terms of ratings for TV shows and Pay-Per-Views and also the fan-following has been decreased due to the retirement of some greats like HBK,Edge,Batista, and recently The Big Show . After stating this, he vowed to turn it around. He has put changes to carry this out into immediate effect.
The most significant of these changes being the firing of a large number of the booking staff, with McMahon's decisions of bringing back The Rock and Lesnar worked, McMahon eyes some of the inactive wrestlers and the retired ones, He could bring em' back !.McMahon appointed Namit Uniyal as the new leader of the booking staff, the storyline writer.
The second significant change announced was the end of WWE's NXT brand. The third brand had limited success and McMahon said that WWE needed to concentrate on making their flagship brands stronger before making ventures such as ECW. The former NXT stars will be staying on the WWE roster as part of either Smackdown! or Raw.McMahon also stated that, "Tough Enough" is enough for the selection of new wrestlers"
The final big change to WWE announced was the way in which the 2 brands would be made more balanced. All current workers on the roster who are not at WWE, TNA,MMA wrestlers will be signed to Smackdown! or Raw by the new booker.Also Divas' participation will be reduced to once a month ! (Worldwide Mothers Happy :P)
