Yeah, but it's meant to be upbeat.. and weird. It's about a mad world, it's a strange song.. not a sad one.

I don't know, it's probably just because I grew up on the Tears for Fears version but I've just never liked the cover as much.

I thought Seether's version of Careless Whisper was going to be horrible, but it wasn't actually too bad. Original is still better though.

Same here, I grew up on the Gary Jules one, and hadn't heard it was a cover until a few years ago.

Can't beat the saxophone in the original careless whisper, but I prefer heavier stuff

Exactly my opinion as well, the singer is a star. His face during "She Drives Me Crazy" is legendary in the music video.. what a guy.
