Just noticed, his wage seems a bit high. He must be very close to popping to Respectable in something. Well, we'll see tomorrow...

Am I barking up the right tree?

Can't remember where the Competant/Respectable boundary is, but remember you have to count that wages for both Competant skills in that.

Well theres this guy who is almost identical (no training since start of season)

24 yo RH Batsman, RM Bowler
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: competent Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: mediocre

but he only has a wage of ?651... His concentration might be a little lower, but fielding and stamina make up for that. I guess we'll see tomorrow ;)

Any thoughts?

I think i will train him

Decent. He will obviously need stamina, wicketkeeping and fielding, and if you got the space go for the batting.

Mine wasnt very good. I spent the remainder of my ITS (1 that is) on batting and got a worthless allrounder with absymal secondaries.

34 ITS, i forgot to add

I was hoping to just train him as a batter, since I have a proficient keeper anyway, what do you think about that

Train him as a batter. If you don't need the keeping, it'll just push his wage up. How old is your prof keeper?

I got a respectable fielder, worthless everything else. Fired.

Sorry, he is a Respectable keeper, Proficient batter:

Allan Pead - 18 yo, BT Rating=7,406
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with strong leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: worthless Wicket Keeping: respectable
Batting: proficient Concentration: woeful
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: feeble

18, as you can see above

Not great stamina or concentration though. You'd probably end up with a better all-round player by training Eagles. Also, superb leadership means captaincy material.

Fair enough. How many nets have you got for him? I'd say a Stamina and 2 batting, as he's 18.

Ive just put him on 1 stamina and 1 batting, but I think I will give him the second, there is definitely someone I can stop training

I'd say you really need that second batting on an 18YO starting to Competant. I've currently got a 17YO respectable on 1 net, and loads of teams out there will, so if you want to compete he'll need that second net.
