Well what do you guys think happen to you once you die???
How many of you are scared of death??? ( to be honest i am... )

You go in the ground and your body rots. I'm not a religous person, so as far as i'm concerned that's what happens. Also, I'm only 18 so not scared of death, there is an extremely slim chance of dying in an accident, and i don't have any terminal diseases, so i have lots of time left hopefully.

I just keep getting that thought in my mind , imagining nothing for an eternity , not being able to do anything for ever.

I smoke so im also starting to kill myself wich scares me ever more , lol :(

I go to heaven, get as many girls as Ronaldo, play etter than Ronaldo and Pele combined and score a hat-trick against the scousers to get us back from being 2-0 down and win the champions league.

Rather die optimisticly than just believing when you die thats it. Much more fun this way. There's not any fun in being right if your dead.

Death is when your brain dies and all your memories no longer exist as your brain is no longer working, so when you die you'd have no recollection of who Ronaldo and Pele are. It'd be nice to believe that there is an after-life, but considering i'm not religious i find it farcical, so there's no point being optimistic in something i don't believe in. This will probably get locked, as the mods don't believe that anyone on these forums can have a sensible discussion when it comes to religion and beliefs, but i've put my point of view across.

I believe that reincarnation of a soul is impossible. Without your memories and with different past experiences, you are a certainly different person from any previous carnation and so do not accept that the same person can exist as two people over different time periods.

I believe that the afterlife is a possibility but a remote one. Many do believe that it is a clever tool to manipulate the masses but with the existance of an all powerful God who can affect our lives, one must wonder if it would have been thought necessary. I believe that the refusal to accept life after death is the inability of humans to view their world objectively and so viewing our Earth and Universe as the be-all and end-all.

I further think that those scared of death are those who are unhappy or feel unfilfilled by their lives so far whereas others may feel to have experienced enough joy and happiness to die tomorrow happily. However, it will take many case studies to do this and this is something which would be pointless and I'd never end up doing because of that reason.

I believe there is something that happens to you, which some would call the after-life. I also believe in there being some sort of God figure. Frankly the idea of just nothing when you die is pretty scary. I mean just try and imagine not existing. My mind just can't cope with it.

When you die you turn into nothingness. The bit which spooks me out is that this nothingness lasts forever. I dunno how to explain what I mean, but i'll give it a fair go.

Imagine your in a really uncomfortable room for 24 hours. Theres no escape at all, but you know that in 24 hours you'll be out of it. Now whatever happens when you die, say for example it's just blackness. There's no end to it whatsoever. No end to blackness. In 24 hours time, it'll still be blackness etc etc.

Catch my drfit?

Also, everyone is afraid of death. It's natural. No matter how much you claim to be a hard man and that it doesn't faze you, you are scared of dying. If I put a shotgun to your face then you'd definitely be scared of death.

Something which my Year 7 RS teacher said to us, which helped a few (not me though,) was that if you die (with no afterlife), then you won't be able to worry about the nothingness.

I know what you mean manee, but your dead forever. There's no end to being dead. It's odd.

I understand what your trying to say mate. The idea of nothing for ever freaks me out. I mean. What is nothing?
