Australia's Tour of India - 7 ODI's

My dream is this- 5 tests in each series, 3 one dayers, 2 T20's. Screw the money hungry bastards. 5 test series are bloody magnificent. Yes its a throw back to the older days but there's nothing like a 5 test series. Think back to all the killer series between Aus and WI in the 70's and 80's. So few 5 test series these days, very sad.

Depends on the series though. Many series just don't generate that much interest, test match or not. India-Australia should be a 5 test series for sure though.

Until recently dead rubbers were our forte. Sydney was always the graveyard that dead horses are flogged.

In regard to dead rubbers, they're also about giving each city an equal share of internationals, to spread interest in the sport.

You dont need to do anything to spread interest in India. :p

India look to salvage pride | Cricket News | India v Australia 2009/10 | Cricinfo.com

India: (probable) 1 Sachin Tendulkar, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Gautam Gambhir, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 Suresh Raina, 6 MS Dhoni (capt/wk), 7 Harbhajan Singh, 8 Praveen Kumar, 9 Amit Mishra, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Ashish Nehra.

Australia: (probable) 1 Shaun Marsh, 2 Adam Voges, Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Cameron White, 5 Michael Hussey, 6 Andrew McDonald, 7 Graham Manou (wk), 8 Clint McKay, 9 Jon Holland, 10 Doug Bollinger, 11 Burt Cockley.

If India cannot beat that team, they should all be lined up and shot.

Gets cramps also better than anyone else. :p

During that 175, he didnt get cramps at all. Even during that 163* in NZ, he got cramps very late in the innings. But what matters is, he does more than enough damage by the time he gets those cramps.

That would have to be one of the weakest sides we have fielded in a few decades. Will be good seeing Cockley and Holland in action.

Voges wont open will he? Surely White or Hussey, Voges has never even batted in the top 4 for WA has he? Manou is a bit of a tonker, he could do it.

Who knows might end up being Ponting again. White never batted above 3 ever, then suddenly he was doing it for Australia so nothing is out of the question these days.

A 5 match test series against Sri Lanka would be sooooo boring. Sri Lankan crowds don't show up, the pitches are flat, and all we see are Murali and Mendis bowling all day long. Sure they're magicians...but come on it's a snoozefest.

But 5 tests should be standard against Australia and England. Those series' are always awesome.

Imagine a 5 test series against Bangladesh. It would be a disaster. Just read an article saying that the ICC is thinking of a Test Final between the top 2 ranked Test Nations every few years. That should be a 5 test series for sure!

That would be awesome. India vs South Africa 5 test series: 2 matches in SA, 2 in India, and 1 in a neutral venue...Australia?

:D
