It's just a beginning of the bright future for India. Hope these guys continue their marvelous job. Would be a delight to Chand in Indian ODI team soon.

Nothing against Chand and his knock was superb under pressure but he needs to prove it yet. :) People now comparing him with Kohli and want to see him ODI side? Really? Where the fearsome tweak will he play?

We already have many waiting on bench

Congratulations to India.... The lost batting charm of India is back at the right time.....
It will be a dream team for India with Chand and Sehwag opening while Kohli as No.3.

Yes!! India did it! I watched both 2008 and this final! Players did change, but the effort, the passion didn't! It was Kohli that time, and it is Chand now.

Yes, Unmukt Chand will definitely get into ODI arena soon. The situation for VK was different, he came into limelight by winning WC. but Chand was part of Delhi Daredevils, which already bought him in limelight.

I personally had expectations from an under 19 team, which is very strange, since each and every team will be entering as underdogs.

100 for Chand! A real captain's knock, surprised he didn't take his helmet off for the celebration though.
100 or 200, when you've to do something to win WC, you won't celebrate so easily:p.

Nah, thats a pretty difficult combination. We might witness something like Chand-Gauti-Kohli, since by the time Chand establishes himself as batsmen and cements his place, Sehwag will retire. Also, Chand might be a replacement for Sehwag, if Ajinkya gets some other interesting role in team.

Those poor Emirates girls. Interesting idea to have models in the shot rather than a banner, but it makes for awkward advertising.

Well, the equation is pretty simple.
India are the champions of 50 over cricket- May it be under 19 or whatever:p

Can we call Unmukt Chand the incarnation of VVS Laxman:p

People love predicting the future, don't be so hard on them. ;)

Some people start series threads as soon as they are declared (no matter how far they are), to discuss the future. Its quite interesting to see the same people opposing harshly for discussing something which falls in future.

Turner was going well until his final spell, looks to be one to watch for on our spinning front. Looks like it will be a struggle for KP with his current technique, commentators mentioned he was like Hughes, I didn't see him facing the short stuff but someone did mention it after his debut FC game but he definitely backs away with his backfoot which as they said will be an issue in the future.

YESSSSSSSSS! Another U-19 WC for India.Brilliant performance from whole team throughout the tournament. Chand played brilliantly in the final. He surely has a bright future with Indian team. I think it is still very early to compare him with Virat Kohli but surely he looks as solid as him and a good captain as well. Harmeet is another player who is very impressive.

People are saying Harmeet and Chand are ready for International cricket which is right, but can we say the same about Baba Aparjith? I think he is more than a decent all-rounder. Bats sensibly and can bowl well according to condition. And yes, he does have a very similar bowling action as Ashwin.

In conclusion, India does have a very bright future.

It shows exactly how weak a team is when their die hard fans like yourself dont believe they can even reach the finals farless win the cup, lolz, failure!

umm What?

All I remember is that he was "like Hughes" because he'd go after bowlers outside his off stump. He did wear a bouncer from Savage, but he was just late on the shot. He still played Savage better than most. I was more disappointed with the likes of Buchanan, who was far too flat footed to get to the point where he might draw comparisons.
