NZ lost the match but we need to appreciate Kane Williamson, he's in incredible form and what a great WorldCup he's had. Always been a fan of the guy's composed nature on the field yet being aggressive with the bat. Perfect combination.

Dropping Henry for Sodhi was a big mistake. The NZ team needs to make one daft selection every game eh? :rolleyes

Hahaha atleast you should be thankful to Pakistan they give you an exciting game and once again helped in proving the worth of One day Cricket format.

Pakistan didn't play up to their potential for sure starting from fast bowling department even but the great thing happened to us was Imad playing a match winning knock. At the end of the day the result is all matters and bottomline is that we have won the game and currently in top 4. Imagine a team totally down and out a week before virtually, was cornerned and now this team is among top 4. This is Team Pakistan for you. Full of surprises and excitement :)

PAKISTAN ROARING. So Who's Next ? Bangladesh ??

On top of that even weather didn't help their cause so yeah it is a good thing that they have almost made it to the top 4. The exact reason why Pakistan never plays their potential is because of the hype the get from their fans and the media in their Country. When they perform well they get carried away by that and believe they are one of the best side in the world. And it's Captain and coach are a lot responsible for it. I think in Misbah-ul-Haq's Captaincy the players actually wanted to play their best Cricket. I completely disagree to Shoaib Akhtar's Criticism after Pakistan's exit from the 2015 WC. The fact was Pakistan's bowlers were inexperienced and failed to use the conditions well enough and flat pitches in Australia didn't help their cause either. And top of it you had players like Nasir Jamshed and Umar Akmal who were never consistent. TBH I was a huge Pakistan Cricket fan but since the time Sarfaraz has become the Captain I don't get any particular attachment with them.

And sorry if I say this but I am getting that feeling that Pakistan will face it really difficult to beat Bangladesh and there are chances that Bangladesh can knock them out even if they don't score much. This is what exactly had happened in Asia Cup last year. If Pakistan wins the toss they should bat first and get runs on the board which can put pressure on Bangladesh.

Its baffling no one criticzes Sarfaraz batting despite being so poor with the bat overall? Is he only there to perform in the field?

Yeah I am he can surprise us all and score a match winning innings in the coming games but yesterday was a great chance for him to take Pakistan over the finish line that too when the asking rate was around 6 rpo knowing he can't play those big power shots.

Actually Sarfaraz Ahmed is a top-order batsman so he should bat there but there is no way that he can. I am not really surprised he is struggling down the order and he will continue to do so. He should step down from the Pakistan team post WC or maybe WT20

Have you seen those videos showing afghan fans attcking and fighting Pakistani fans:eek:
, and they say Pakistan and India are rivals:rolleyes.

Looks like Pant has replaced Shankar for this match. If he gets going, he will be a very dangerous player on this pitch. Hoping he doesn’t do a Nicholls and get dismissed in a soft way after looking in good touch.

Those two shots in the first over will most likely sum up how the match will go, the pitch is as flat as it can get. The pitch is made exactly like England wants, the pitch is made exactly that will England the advantage. Good decision to get rid of Shankar, he was in no way helping India. Excited for Rishabh Pant and wish him luck with his first ever WC game.

The shade of dark blue and the orange sleeves look so vibrant! Had it not been for the plain full orange on the back, this would have been an outstanding jersey.

Bairstow looks to be really out of form. He’s going at everything too hard. If only they had a world class opening batsman who is equally talented to replace him.... :rolleyes

Absolutely! the original sleeves combination with the jumper is looking fantastic.

Despite the run scoring this is exactly what I wanted for a match in England. Overcast skies, ball wobbling around, swinging and taking edges, wonderful experience this is !!! It's exactly how it used to be in 1999 WC videos that I saw on YouTube. Thanks to the uploaders for uploading those long 50 mins highlights where you could exactly know what's happening in the match.[DOUBLEPOST=1561888768][/DOUBLEPOST]I think India should bowl calmly and not get affected by those odd boundaries and lofted shots. If we can get the top order wickets before the 15th over we can turn things around in just few overs !!

Lol the pitch is so flat and the outfield is so fast that despite playing those pathetic shots Bairstow reaches 24.

We just need to be patient and keep bowling lines and adjusting them accordingly. Heard a new brand new pitch strip was used for this match :rolleyes
