Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Wondering if someone could clarify something for me as I can't seem to find an answer and the tutorial lacks any insight on it.

How does footwork using classic/pro controls work? From the tutorial it's fairly straightforward in saying you either push down (6 o'clock) on the left analog stick to play a back foot shot and push up (12 o'clock) for front foot assuming you are using default camera.

Having played the game tho I feel like for a fuller ball hitting maybe the 4th or 5th stump using a RHB I get more success and a better footwork feedback if I push the analog stick to 1/2 o'clock if that makes sense?

Tldr what impacts footwork on the game, do you simply push up/down for front/back foot shot or should you push the stick towards the ball to move your feet to/away from the ball
This hasn't been mentioned anywhere, but from my time on BA cricket games, foot moves in the direction you aim left analog stick.

So yes, you should aim the stick in line of the ball.
But it is not as simple as this, as BA also does a bit of correction, and that is completely inconsistent. It has some margin for error where if you are moving your foot in the wrong direction, the inputs will be overridden and corrected (resulting in Poor footwork in the feedback system, but batsman plays the correct shot). Especially in C24, I have noticed this more.

I played a game yesterday in Ashes Cricket and I found that almost 90% of time it moved the foot in the direction you are aiming.

Also I have noticed that you have to time the footwork input, but I'm not 100% confident on this.

Bro the pro controls are broken towards square and point region on offside while batting.

And we have a new IPL team

Nothing I love more than a company adding new modes to a broken game without fixing any of the issues. It's so amazing to see. I can't wait to not play this mode and am going to laugh hysterically at anyone stupid enough to cough up more money on this nonsense.
Didn't he say it will be free.

I would enjoy knowing what the player base still is for the game at this point, to be pushing a new mode out.

Granted, BA will simply carry Pro Teams over to any other releases they peddle out, but we're not far off 18 months since launch. That seems pretty bonkers, even if it's just to stick to something they said they'd do before the game dropped.

It's so glaring to see the only replies to tweets being on licenses/pro team details for their games. Any questions on gameplay fixes are ignored. Sums them up as a company

I don't care about the IPL or the pro team mode and I'll be voting with my wallet and not buying future BigAnt games unless major improvements are made. If it wasn't for Wasteyouryouth and other dedicated creators I wouldn't have bought C24.

Agree with you i dont think even c26 will have good gameplay or features to buy

Guys, please forgive me if this question was asked earlier. I did try to search and couldn't fetch any information hence asking here.

I have just bought Cricket 24 and trying to play the Tour. Its lagging like anything. I could play Cricket 19 without any problem. Can anyone please tell me what's the ideal configuration to play this game smoothly?

Thank you in advance.

For the 1st time I could relate this piece of commentary in this game (because of fine leg and ball didn't travel too far) Else commentary in this game is not that exciting.
