Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Wondering if someone could clarify something for me as I can't seem to find an answer and the tutorial lacks any insight on it.

How does footwork using classic/pro controls work? From the tutorial it's fairly straightforward in saying you either push down (6 o'clock) on the left analog stick to play a back foot shot and push up (12 o'clock) for front foot assuming you are using default camera.

Having played the game tho I feel like for a fuller ball hitting maybe the 4th or 5th stump using a RHB I get more success and a better footwork feedback if I push the analog stick to 1/2 o'clock if that makes sense?

Tldr what impacts footwork on the game, do you simply push up/down for front/back foot shot or should you push the stick towards the ball to move your feet to/away from the ball
This hasn't been mentioned anywhere, but from my time on BA cricket games, foot moves in the direction you aim left analog stick.

So yes, you should aim the stick in line of the ball.
But it is not as simple as this, as BA also does a bit of correction, and that is completely inconsistent. It has some margin for error where if you are moving your foot in the wrong direction, the inputs will be overridden and corrected (resulting in Poor footwork in the feedback system, but batsman plays the correct shot). Especially in C24, I have noticed this more.

I played a game yesterday in Ashes Cricket and I found that almost 90% of time it moved the foot in the direction you are aiming.

Also I have noticed that you have to time the footwork input, but I'm not 100% confident on this.
