Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Does bowling to a plan really work in the game? Sometimes I feel like whatever I do, the batting is going to hit a boundary or lose a wicket, and I’m never sure what impact I’m actually having (it might just be I’m not playing very well)

Never felt like this in 22 or 19
Honestly I've felt it was the same in 22 and 19, unless I'm missing a trick. Im playing mostly T20s at the moment and find that bowling to a plan doesn't really work and I'm just trying different deliveries in hope of something working. I do find sometimes bowling short can cause issues so I'll try that. But otherwise I'm just pressing buttons and hoping!

Ive created a T20 league with custom teams I've even gone through each player and looked at what their best bowling attributes are in hope that maybe that might help me but I just find that spinners are the way to go.

I wish there was more of a risk/reward system where bowling certain deliveries could bring a higher chance of a wicket but against a good batter or a confident batter you could easily get hit for a boundary. At the moment in the current system, it just feels like bowling delivery after delivery in the hope of getting one of the seemingly 5 or 6 repeatable dismissals

I wish BA would just explain how the bowling works and what we should be trying to do. If it's purely scripted down to attributes and what delivery we choose doesn't matter then there is literally no point in bowling.
