Pakistan tour of New Zealand 2025 - 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs

Shaheen needs to go though. Deserves a kick in the back and some toil in domestic and leagues.
He did seem off in the champions trophy but is it really that big a problem? I mean I have always had him as someone who is a rhythm bowler. His runup to the crease says it all. He seems overcooked? Or is it something else?

Technical issues due to two knee injuries. He puts all that effort into slamming his front foot to get pace now, instead of using his hip and knee to gain momentum and then flicking his wrist for pace and zip.

he also might be too eagerly looking for that magic full inswinger that got him so much success pre-injury. not my opinion, rather Shane Bond's:

You look at someone like Shaheen Shah Afridi, who's sort of still searching for wickets, bowling that really full length, and at the moment he's going for a lot of runs. That was the difference between perhaps someone like him and a Trent Boult, who understands bringing the length back, thinking about having the ball actually hit to where he can protect.

All you've done is prove my point dude.

Do You want me in a guillotine for that? We don't exactly issue executions for having opinions. An opinion, which, half the cricketing world has now BTW.

Should've called me out if you had an issue when I posted that. All you've shown is how petty and vile you are.

Also, I didn't know that it needed to be stated but that was very obviously a dig at what India have done in the ICC as a whole, and not a dig at the nation of the India or the people altogether. What a wild fukcing thing for you to assume because you have the comprehension of a fukcing child.

Yeah, totally normal behavior for someone who isn't insecure in the slightest. Let's post a dumbass troll post and then go on a rant on how it doesn't affect you in the slightest when called out for it.

Really puts into perspective how the world was spared from people like you for a decade plus, with India's ICC title drought and all. Seeing this type of hubris for ten years straight would've been worse than being in Dante's inferno. You win two titles after 11 years and you think you're some hot shit. This ain't gonna last forever pal. You're gonna fall flat on your face and I'll be there to witness it, don't worry.
Oh, NMA, bless your heart—clinging to that salt like it’s the last roti on the plate. I’d say I’ll save you a seat for the inevitable downfall you’re dreaming of, but I’ll be too busy polishing trophies while you’re still typing essays about my ‘hubris.’ Enjoy the series, champ—try not to trip over your own bitterness on the way out

Why does it sound like you used ChatGPT for this

Holy fukcing shit dude. My bad for looking for reason when there is none to be found.

Quite the fall from grace you've had.

Oooh, look at me, I'm WubbaLubbaDubDubs. Imma throw a hissy fit then pretend I'm so above it all and the other guy is holding on to salt.

You have indeed fully transitioned into a troll. Congratulations. :clap

I get that transition is uncomfortable but there has to atleast be an obvious process/plan to it.

A lot of the new players picked by Pakistan here just haven't played enough high level cricket in their careers, and playing them against New Zealand is just throwing them to the wolves imho.

I'll admit that I am not an expert on Pakistani domestic cricket but it doesn't look like these new players have been the standout performers for Pakistan in age group cricket/any decent level of cricket. Most new names have played single digit PSL matches with underwhelming returns

For example Hasan Nawaz has literally no standout numbers to my eye. Is there really no one better, even at his age/ playing style? I just feel bad for the guy tbh; there's 0 chance he could immediately make the step up

I think just trying by raw potential.

He did well in the Champions T20 Cup, which only has five teams, so he played against the best possible players in domestic cricket. Personally i wouldn't have picked him, but we'll be playing Bangladesh in mid-May, so i hope this group plays that series too.

how dare you! only real ones remember how he was the highest runscorer in Mirpur Royals' KPL 2022 winning campaign, smashing our domestic 2nd XI bowlers to pieces

I don't know why NZ keeps coming back to Neesham. Does anyone even remember if he had done anything of substance in the last few years? The guy's success rate would probably be lower than Williamson's failure rate.

Great win for Pakistan. Always happy to see them play well.

Wouldn't read too much in the win, won't be surprised if this lot manage to muck it up in the next game. Or in the future when they play actual full time cricketers.
