Captain And Coach's Verdict

After staying briefly at their hotel, the England captain and the coach Peter Moores went for a Press Conference.

We did not play very well in the World Twenty20 in South Africa. We were one of the favorites at the start of the tournament, but we let our selves down. Now we will concentrate entirely on the new tour here in Sri Lanka. In the sub-continent we have played quite well in both formats of the game. It is very difficult to win in Sri Lanka due to the conditions but we will try our level best and just hope to see what happens.

Overall, our batting is relatively good however the top-order can sometimes falter causing us to rely on the middle-order which is not good for some of the youngsters. They should be playing their natural game and developing their batting. However our bowling needs improvement. Myself and Ottis will spend time with the youngsters, helping them improve.

Well that is about it. Everything is set fro the tour to begin.

Thats all from us at Ten Sports. We will be back to your television sets for the 1st One-Day-International in Dumbulla. Stay Tuned for more cricketing actions.
