Editor for Cricket Captain 2021 (Release)

@weetabixharry That's great for the custom legends squad. No worries if the previous teams still show, but yeah it seems logical they might reset upon a new season or contract. It certainly looks like a functional way around this for how it can be done. That would also be interesting to setup...

Editor for Cricket Captain 2021 (Release)

Very interesting, and thanks for the swift response to my questions. Ah, excellent. That makes it even simpler then for being a feature the game natively supports. It is curious for how that is with the retired players. I suppose it's possible it takes a while of play before they show up...

Editor for Cricket Captain 2021 (Release)

Hi @weetabixharry Really excellent work here with developing the editor! :clap It's been over a decade since I last played any Cricket Captain game, so I'm a bit out of the loop with possibilities on this front. I'm looking at possibly purchasing the 2021 or 2022 game sometime (when released)...

    England vs Australia Ashes 2015

I like the sound of Hales opening. Think the team needs some more fluent play at the top, especially on the flatter pitches. Just look what Hayden & Sehwag did over the years -- transferring their one day form to the tests.

    England's ODI squad

Good point. Morgan has been a proven performer in the past. But personally, I'm not confident about his form coming into the series. Against Sri Lanka he only averaged 18 with a top score of 40 [Link]. Also a strike rate of 68 isn't very reassuring. I'd rather go with those who are in proven...

    England's ODI squad

I'd go for: 1. Hales 2. Cook 3. Bell 4. Ballance 5. Root 6. Buttler 7. Stokes 8. Woakes 9. Jordan 10. Tredwell 11. Anderson Stability at the top, with more firepower in the middle order. Also a right-left combination early on. Morgan misses out for now, as he's not been in great form recently...

Don Bradman Cricket 14 PC PLAYABLE NOW!

If the game is not fit for release, I think it's better than releasing an unfinished product. There must be some logic behind this decision, and Big Ant know best.

Yes, Ross has confirmed this here.

Post your questions about the game here!

There's a list of potential stadiums and other features here. Nothing is officially confirmed yet though. ;)

Big Eye, Big Pitch, Big Wheel Screenshots

Great screenshots, thanks for sharing. :thumbs Though a picture tells a thousand words, it would be nice to know whether the batsman was AI or human controlled. With all the boundaries (attacking shots) in the air, it does seem slightly unusual. But without actual gameplay footage, it's hard...

    Where are the yorkers?

Absolutely. I believe the yorker is the most underrated delivery type in cricket full stop, let alone one day cricket. What happened to the old additch, "you miss and I hit"? It's common sense. Even the low full toss is a harder ball to hit than the halftracker, drifting down the legside. In...

Don Bradman Cricket 14 - Pro Cam "Sneak Peek"

As I always say, gameplay is far superior to graphics. Minor things won't be noticeable if we're engaged in the tension of a match situation.

Which platform will you buy Big Ant Studios Cricket game for?

I'm considering buying the PC version. Although the core gameplay will be the same, usually PC has the advantage of being moddable. Modding communities have a history of transforming a game, just take Cricket 07 or SimCity 4 for example. These games had a rough beginning, but were slowly...

Don Bradman Cricket 14 - Pro Cam "Sneak Peek"

I guess we'll have to try it out. After all, there's a big difference between watching and playing. Some players will have their own personal preference, so it's good there's a plenty of options. ;)

Don Bradman Cricket 14 - Pro Cam "Sneak Peek"

New member here! Hi all. Have been a lurker for a while, but this is my first post on the forums. In my opinion, here's the positives and (minor) concerns from this video: Pros: The feel of the delivery speed. Finally we can experience the pressure of batting against 150kph+ bowling...
