Draft: Best of the Rest in ODIs - The 2000s

2. :zim: :ar: Neil Johnson
3. :wi: :bat: Brian Lara
6. :ban: :ar: Shakib al Hasan
7. :saf: :wkb: Mark Boucher
8. :afg: :ar: Mohammad Nabi
10. :sri: :bwl: Lasith Malinga

I'll pull an Aislabie and add my associate from Afghanistan. Nabi and Shakib are a lovely 1-2 spin combination and they also provide batting.

:sri: :bat: Marvan Atapattu wasn't a big hitter, but he was a heavy-scoring ODI batter: he has more centuries than anyone else I'm still allowed to pick, and played more innings from number three (a position I still need to fill) than anywhere else. He'll be our anchor-accumulator, and it'll be his job to bat through the innings and give the strike to those around him who are able to score more quickly.

1. :ind: :bat: Sachin Tendulkar

4. :aus: :ar: Darren Lehmann
9. :nzf: :bwl: Shane Bond
10. :saf: :bwl: Makhaya Ntini
11. :afg: :bwl: Hamid Hassan

For a second I thought my Sehwag was invalid, it would've messed up my entire plan.

I can't understand your guys logic here, Afghanistan barely played any official ODIs in this period.
Jeroen Smits avoidance.

I don't think Baz is taken, and while I'm not here to pretend he's Adam Gilchrist, he's certainly the next guy down. Probably doesn't keep in this team.
